Just make one rating and make it 18+.
Who cares? Parents don't care. Until they make a way to ID a user as 18+ it doesn't matter what you rate these games, parents and others will continue buying their 10-12 year olds games filled with swearing, gore, and sexuality.

Biggest game has nothing to do with GOTY ... if you go to wikipedia and research GOTY they give you the GOTY by every major publication by year.

C'mon man. Mass Effect is more about the story and the universe in which it exists in.
If you don't love Mass Effect then I'd say your just not a big RPG fan.

Too much dialogue is
1) A problem for Metal Gear Solid 4.
2) Not a problem for Portal 2? Also not a problem in Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, etc.

Can't wait for KZ3, the trailers have looked unbelievable so far and all the gameplay videos have been great.

This game was incredible, for $20 you'd be a fool not to pick it up if you are either :
a) a fan of God of War/Dante's Inferno
b) the Castlevania universe.
LOS was as, others said, arguably GOTY and an incredible game top to bottom.
Considering this gen is far from over and PS3 has yet to drop to the $200 price point and still outsold 360 globally year on year, I would not say anything yet.

While some of the intros on this list are great, this list is pretty unbalanced...
It goes over obvious intros from games people can still remember (Uncharted, Mass Effect, God of War) then switches to games with such cult followings that no one will argue with them (FF7, MGS2).
There are so many great intros to games from old consoles that people get blinded by the present.
As far as consoles go. Yup.
I'll call COD out on all its faults but I'll also give credit where credit is due. COD's online multiplayer is about as good as it gets on consoles.
Other than COD, I think you could look at BFBC and Halo as tops.
Killzone 2 was good but the community was too small. MOH had terrible spawning and Map layout.
