its hard to feel sorry them when they are doing it themselves, you can't afford to cancel games on the other platform when the other platform has a far better install base, not to mention an install base that actually buys games, not rents them
What if you love resident evil but hate everything about the original. We could have a new trilogy of a new IP but capcom is too busy milking fanboys with remakes.

You can save up to 100 GB of PS4 saved data and 100 GB of PS5 saved data. The number of PS4 saved data files you can store is limited to 1000. (does steam offer that too?) /s

Some gamers just recognize they won't want resources for non VR split across multiple iterations of the same game. Next gen games are better when they are dragged back by lesser platforms.
