Hmmm don’t think this review is going to change any one’s opinion that it’s a bit of a rip off. Of course it was going to score highly, it’s an amazing game.
Day 1 on GP?
Look at the comments bro, the fanboys and fuming. Think it probably stems from a culmination of bad moves recently that are making people fear the worst. Plus they don’t have the same size pockets that MS do, so moves like this have to be more calculated.
Sony seem to be late to the party with everything this gen - live service gaming, going big on subscription and now mobile - all the while alienating their core fanbase.
This is why you should never be emotionally tied to one platform. I’ve gone PS2, 360, PS4 and now XSX. Look objectively at what each platform has to offer and make an informed decision.
From memory the gameplay for the original two games was similar to this, apart from it being fixed camera. They’re obviously focused on the gunplay in the trailer too. Wouldn’t right it off just yet.
If this isn’t an indication to fanboys that PlayStation has well and truly gone backwards this generation then I don’t know what is. They’re lucky to have a strong market share but gamers aren’t stupid and they can’t live off past glories forever.
Interesting take… I imagine most GP subscribers will appreciate the value of getting games on PC and Xbox. I suppose you’re the type of person happy to pay full price for a ‘remake’ though, so I can see how you’ve done the mental gymnastics here.
Stop crying wolf over every article with speaks out against your precious piece of plastic, but then tip your hat off to articles criticising Starfield and the like. They’re making a valid point that is being echoed by enough people to be worth the discussion.
Shame, thought they could’ve at least done something to sharpen up the character models. Also one of my all time favourites but will likely only play for nostalgia sake.
The first is and has always been the best one imo - the story, the levels, the set pieces, the soundtrack - as close to perfect as a campaign can get.
I’d say the series had been on a continual downhill slide until 5.
Anything to deflect the fact that another multplatform game performs inferior on PlayStation. How times have changed.
Overdose was originally meant to release on stadia though before their whole first party project was scrapped, so it’s a possibility given the cloud-based nature of the game.
It depends what you class as a ‘remake’. Despite only being one generation apart from the original, Resident Evil for the GameCube was a remake because it was rebuilt from the ground up with new assets.
This is just another remaster and no matter how diehard of a fan you are, you’re getting ripped off paying full price, simple as.
Not sure you understand the meaning of ‘prolific’ - as in productivity. 4 games in the last 10 years (generously including lost legacy) is not prolific. Look at how many games Insomniac has released in that time.
Fantastic game but completely unnecessary remake. Given that ND aren’t as prolific as they used to be, it feels like their resources would’ve been better utilised elsewhere.
Not sure why that’s a bad thing… new footage of already announced games is just as good as a new announcement. ‘Primarily focused’ sounds like there will still be 2-3 new games.
They announced a few weeks ago it had restarted. They’re rumoured to have relocated to Czech Republic to finish the game.
Well deserved, not much of a racing fan but will always play the latest FH.
Surely you can see the difference between the RE2 remake and this though. The generational leap between the original and remake was huge. Even the RE1 remake, only released 5/6 years after the original, was a significant upgrade,
Sorry but this looks like a reskin of a game no one really asked for. People who have never played it are undoubtedly in for a treat, but otherwise you’re wasting your money at full RRP. Then again people are happy splashing the cash on CoD/FIFA re...
