Most sensible comment I’ve seen - everyone thought the studio acquisitions meant immediate game releases. Yes it sucks having to wait but cmon, look at the franchises they now own. You’re just blind if you ignoring the fact that once these games release, gamepass will be unquestionable.
It’s costs more than a PS5?! (which you need anyway to use it). Sony once again rinsing it’s customers. Within a month of the equally overpriced dual sense edge as well.
Hmm physical software sales down 18%, any explanation for that? Or are gamers starting to get priced out of Sony’s sky high RRPs?
I have to disagree - as great as the RE2 remake was, losing the fixed cameras and door loading screens took away so much of the tension. If you remade RE1 like this, the first zombie and dog encounters wouldn’t really work. The tank controls, while extremely dated, added to the challenge of the game, almost like a game of checkers.
I suspect I’m in the minority but I’d prefer RE1 be left alone. They did a shoddy job of the RE3 remake, so a quality game isn’t guaranteed.
It’s the notion of remaking a remake. The RE1 remake still looks and plays great today. Why does it need updating again just to cater to today’s audience?
Hmmm, it got 87% on metacritic. Forza 5 got 92%. Both games are live service and have staying power. Otherwise I agree that having to go back 12 months for a major release is a bad look. A lot of people are sleeping on Grounded though, an excellent survival game.
Ok so how about when the next Elder Scrolls, Fable, Doom, Gears and Hellblade hit? What about when all the CoDs turn up on GP day 1? I know it’s fun to revel in GPs slow growth so enjoy it while it lasts.
Starting to look a lot like the Netflix dash - kinda pointless having a beautiful dynamic background behind all these tiles.
Who is going to be ‘ok’ about this?? Doesn’t matter which side of the fence you sit on, as a consumer price hikes suck. Selfishly hoping it’s for consoles instead of games or gamepass, although a price hike of the latter is probably a long time coming.
Just like Sony calling Gamepass unstoppable when the ABK deal goes through…
You’ve missed out on some absolutely belting games if you’ve restricted yourself to games released on one platform. Don’t understand the logic at all.
Starfield hadn’t been announced for any platforms at the point of the purchase. Additionally Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo remained timed exclusives on PS. All other announced games have remained multi platform. As of yet, no broken promises as far as I can see.
Interesting that they think MS “broke their promise” that Bethesda games would stay multi platform - unless someone can prove otherwise I don’t remember them ever promising this beyond legacy content.
Let’s be honest though, it’ll go through regardless. At worst it’ll delay things.
Quite a lot if you’re not the type of person that ‘only counts exclusives’. Grounded came out a couple of weeks ago and Plague Tale 2 is out on GP next week for a start.
All these hilarious analogies to establish some sort of moral high ground. At the end of the day you’re a consumer, not a philosopher. Try and invest your cash objectively and you’ll be fine, trust me.
Given they’re potential investing 70 billion here, I think it’s justified.
Talk about falling under the radar! Have been holding off for the full release so can’t wait to try it this weekend.
Good to see the games are picking up again.
2 weeks is enough notice. Plus if you really want to keep playing then buy it.
Like Starfield and Redfall?
