"I think games that lack a multiplayer should get some points less indeed"
Well, we are all different. I'm not into multiplayer games at all. I avoid them. I like good single player games like far cry. I can't see why games like that should deserve less points..
If you build it, they will come..
Approximately 1 minute into the film sequence. Is he actually pulling the stick forward to make a fast climb?
never mind. bad post.
Freedom of choice is always good. I wonder which one to get, the ps3 or pc version.. What kind of pc rig is required to get a smooth ride?
@wageslave
Very funny. You must be joking, right? That article by Douglass C. Perry is from may 20, 2005 with figures straight from Microsoft. It's seriously flawed and very old. They even managed to get the 360 cpu core count wrong.. "Xbox 360 has three general purpose CPU cores" I thought it had 3 dual core units = six cores. They have no idea of what the PS3's 7*SPE's are capable of. They got 360 figures wrong (how the h*ll did they manage?). How could they possible under...
Is Zhuk (11.8) or this author lying about the RSX memory access capabilities?
"What's interesting to note: even though the PS3 has destinct memory for the Cell CPU as well as the RSX GPU, this memory is somewhat "unified" in a way that the RSX can access the different memory areas rather fast with a peak of 20 GB/s. In that sense, the PS3 architecture combines the best of both worlds, separated memory areas for CPU and GPU (no concurrent access issues), still be...
Hello Silver,
"360 gamers are an older demographic for the most part."
Do you have anything to back this statement up? I'm curious and would like to know. Really thought it was the other way around but have nothing to prove it.
And a Happy New Year to every gamer out there!
The word 'Broken' is the most commonly used word by xbox 360 owners... Need i say more?
Actually tried Forza 2 and was disappointed. The first one is much better cause it really had the going fast feeling. In F2 it feels like you can walk beside the car when it is like running 100 MPH.
Comparing F2 with GT5 is like swearing in church.
Yes, that's correct. I've downloaded the high resolution version. It clearly states km/h. (kilometers/hour). The superior metric system ;-)
@sonarus
Thanks for your info. I even tried to google for it and found this:

But it's probably just a rumour. It would be so great if it was true. I'd like to find some more proof before I'll get my hopes up though.
It sure was one of my main reasons for buying one.
Does anyone know if there are any compatible steering wheels for the PS3 available?
Can't wait...
Yeah, in every pro xbox 360 forum around. Please cut down on the caffeine,
and get a life!
I really hope they have backward compatibility with the older players. Is a firmware update necessary? It would be good news for everyone. No matter which player you own. If they have equal capacity no format should suffer. Some Blu-ray releases today has been crippled cause of the hd-dvd's lesser capacity..
Hitachi are currently developing Blu-ray with 4 layers handling 100GB.
But thats not the issue. lamini has a very good point.
But wait until they try to fit LOTR Return of the King Extended on a single HD-DVD. It would either loose in quality or you would have to change discs just like with the ordinary dvd version. Boring..
You could get like an avarage of 10-13 Mbit/s if they made it fit on a single HD-DVD. I wouldn't pay for that owning a 1080p Tv.
Infidel...
I've bought six Blu-ray movies for my ps3. And one came with the console when I bought it. Beeing a lucky owner of a Full HD-TV my most important priority for buying a ps3 was to get a Blu-ray player.. And of course GT, MGS4 and Uncharted etc makes it even more interesting.
XGamer, why bother posting a comment on a game that will never come to your console?
