Yeah its always nice to see useful opinions, and useful tidbits of news for a change. Too much repeated drivel gets approved on N4G these days.

Ahh MGS1 on the PSX, and better yet was the oppurtunity to play through it again as a remake on the gamecube containing better graphics along with elements from MGS2 such as a first person view, improved CQC etc..

Back when you got pissed if you set off an alarm and had to load up a previous save which made you sit through the same 10min cutscene you just watched, lol.

Somebody needs to bring back the stealth genre or revitalize it atleast. Havent had my taste buds...

For anyone who hasnt seen trine or knows what it is:

http://trine-thegame.com/

On-Topic.

Although the game has never reallt tickled my fancy (beggining to wonder why people actually use that phrase...) it never hurts to see more content on te PSN.

After reading it, it seems the writer obviouslly didnt finish the game and/or didnt do his homework, which pretty much makes his points mute.]

Anyhoo the best thing that could happen to the Metal Gear series is if it goes back to its roots as a 'tactical espionage action' game as they put it ie. Stealth. My fav MGS was the original, due to the fact i think it had the best plot of the lot (...possibly with the exception of Snake Eater) but also pushed you to usin your noggin and t...

Yeah i agree.

If ur a fan of RPG's and havent picked it up yet, then i dont know what ur waiting for as in my opinion it has to be the best RPG (tactical or not) this gen.

I think he's just reffering to those diesel generators and not there actual local power supply. ;)

I agree m8, Seth is a ridiculously unfair and unbalanced character to fight as the end boss. After you beat him in the first round, his moves become over powered and vastly difficult to avoid.

Add to this the fact that he can do a grab move (Spinning power bomb thing) after each hit he recieves means you have to sit back and attack from the back with fireballs (Hyduken's) all the time, it gets a bit monotonous.

The fact that this (Xiphos's comment) is so true makes this one of the most sensible and honest comments i've read all day.

Yeah its a good idea for an article, but dont head it 'The 5 Best Sniper Rifles in Video Games' and only really pick them from console FPS's.

p.s. Cheers for the bubbles m8, have some back :D.

I wasnt expecting to see a new PSP any time soon, but ill gladly add a new killzone title to my library as it is wihout a doubt one of the best PSP games to date.

Killzone Liberation, Patapon, FF:Crisis Core etc.. Top games, just a shame there arent alot more.

Pretty poor list to be honest, not enough thought went into what could have been a good article.

For instance never mind all these Console FPS, wheres the AWP from CS/CS:S, and the PSG1 from MGS1 etc?

I agree m8, the whole lets imrove the graphics and add another 10 or so moves (button combination combos) is getting boring and is making the animation systme in pace feel really boring.

Bring back the days of MKIII (Trilogy)!!! And whilst there at it add in a decent enough story for each character ala Tekken, SC etc.. and a whole lot of unlockable features other than character art, and dev diarys.

Still possibly my fav 2d fighter of all time. :D

Im all for Cross-game chat more than any other feature for a few reasons. These being;

1. The voice codecs/quality in some games are really crappy and it is hard to understand people at times, especially when 5 or 6 people are speaking at the same time or some eejit decides its a crackng idea to listen to music whilst remaining to have his headset on (Im looking @ u CoD, with ur un-mutable lobbies). Im guessing that private chat could use higher quality codecs and/or reserve more...

Your number 10 point may already be a possibility, as Insomniac Games have stated they are hoping to add a feature that allows the 2nd characters profile/stats etc. to be saved. Previously they couldnt do this as it required an updated firmware which devs now have available.
Although this is only an assumption, i believe that this may be the ability to have more than 1 (Prob not more than 2 though i'd imagine) PSN users signed on at the same time to the one console.

I while back, april to be precise (Cant remember if it was this year or last year?!), IGN made a trailer for a feature length Zelda film as an april's fool joke and it was actually really well done.

Same here.

There past few titles havent been the best of hits, although Ferrari Challenge was a pretty gd racing sim. Problem with racing sims this gen though is being in the shadow of more established games such as Gran Turismo, and PGR etc.

I agree with everything you said.

My only concern is that Sony need to up there marketing campaign on there big exclusives. Advertising is what brings games to the attention of most console gamers. Not everyone hangs around sites like N4G, IGN, Eurogamer... etc.

Advertising is something Microsoft have got down to a tee, and have it in bucket loads they do. Even Nintendo have plenty of advertising for there 1st party developed titles, and a few of there 2nd/3rd party ...

Padding is done by most companies worldwide to create figures that keep consumers, and bigwigs happy.

Its sort of how Microsoft persists on including re-purchased/replaced 360 sales in its overall hardware sales numbers. These being due to RRoD, and other 360 malfunctions and/or because of piracy and live lock outs.

I dont care how they get there numbers but lets not try and point out Sony, when both Microsoft and Ninty do it aswell (Wii Sports anyone?! ;))
