I've been playing it for 5 hours straight. Both SP and MP. All I can say is that there seems to be a media bias against Battlefield.
The game is amazing and the single player campaign is getting an unfair amount of criticism.
Having played the game myself it's easy to almost become conspiratory when seeing reviews lke this one.
Atari ST for me. I'm an audiophile.
That describes how I felt about the trial demo.
@Quagmire - On the 360 all arcade games have demos. Don't know if the PS3 had one for this.
@memots - I think they are referring to headtracking with Kinect, which adds to making the experience feel more realistic.
@IRetrouk . I didn't know that. Sounds pretty crappy.
"Overall, the 360 version is indeed the slightly better performer of the two releases - par for the course when it comes to Unreal Engine 3."
Explains the random disagrees you got.
I played the trial demo on the 360 and although it was fun I think it's most enjoyable when played with 3 other players.
Battlefield 3 focuses more on the MP yet reviewers seem to focus most on its SP.
It's ok to make a SP game with a tacked on MP but not the other way around. At least not when DICE is making it, it seems.
Fortunately though, the MP is nothing at all like COD.
Can't wait for the completely unfinanced MW3 reviews to arrive /s
I wasn't impressed at all by the trial demo. The platforming elements felt really shoddy and nothing about the game really impressed me. Might get much better further in but judging from the demo I'd rather get Outworld than this.
"One of the most highly anticipated Xbox LIVE Arcade releases of the year"
I hadn't even heard of it before this lol. Will give it a try though.
Gotta be joking. It's a shallow flash game that costs 800 MS points.
Same day as Battlefield 3 releases in Europe. Great timing.
Hilarious video. And sad.
Telling the truth about the Sony Vita?
Have fun paying $124 for a memory stick.
A coked up gamer would own a pothead any day. It's probably the best gaming drug you could take.
I just hope the servers work better than they did at the launch of BFBC 2.
Great comment by Jaffe. For once I agree with everything he said.
Just Cause 2 had an amazing world and was so much fun to play.
Battlefield 3 reviews prove that gaming journalism is dead.
