The beta isn't in any way representative of the final game. I can understand your disappointment. I also thought the beta was rubbish but the retail version is absolutely stunning.
Pachter came when he made that prediction. Twice.
Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire are the best looking open world games ever made. I say let Rockstar handle GTA V.
"360 gamers had 60 euros and nothing to spend it on."
Many 360 gamers just bought Gears of War 3 and Forza 4, so that excuse doesn't fly.
So many spin doctors in here that I'm getting dizzy.
The trailer looked awful.
I can...and I'm off to play it in a little while.
The SP is a 7/10 and the MP is a 13/10 so it evens out.
That sucks. I've only played it for a bit at a friends and I loved it, so for me this is awesome news.
The fact that it's #3 in front of a recently released juggernaut like Gears of War 3 is an achievement imo. Seeing how amazing the multiplayer of Battlefield 3 is I think the 'word of mouth' effect will give it very long legs.
If you want a good twin-stick shooter I'd recommend checking out Renegade Ops. This game gets old fast.
It will take long before I get bored of the current content. The maps are just ingeniously designed and there's so much to do. There's nothing out there that even comes close to Battlefield 3's multiplayer and I don't think there will be until the next Battlefield.
GTA V trailer or not, I can't wait for this!
This is old. If N4G had a working search function we wouldn't get the same news posted again and again.
"That shipment number reached 10 million back in June, and now four months later the company is standing still on that number."
Sounds like bs to me.
"Are you aware that each Call of Duty has a two year development time?
They may use the same engine, but they play very different."
Ummm, no. No they don't. They look and play more or less identical. Small maps with no vehicles or destruction with no teamwork required.
Or maybe Eurogamer have more than one reviewer? And maybe they use different criterias for different genres of games? Just a crazy assumption of mine.
@TheDareDevil - Exactly. I've skipped out on many critically acclaimed games and bought average scoring games based on how the pros and cons compare to my gaming preferences.
You PS3 fanboys sure go apesh*t when someone doesn't give perfect scores to your exclusives.
Acting like a bunch of fascists and taking reviews far too seriously. No class.
As long as they don't treat us like Activision. They would never give away something like Back to Karkand for free.
And seeing how well they treated BFBC2 with the Vietnam pack I have high hopes for this DLC.
"When it works (and we'll come onto that in a bit), Battlefield 3 is probably the one of the finest console FPS multiplayer titles ever. No, that's not an exaggeration."
I have encountered less problems with BF 3 than with many other online titles (the slow matchmaking in Gears 3 for example) so for me it's still finest console FPS multiplayer title ever. Many reviewers seem to be nit-picking it to death in a way I know they won't nit-pick MW3.
