And does that speak about the company who makes it, or the consumers who buy it? The world is full of idiots, I say let a company cash in on that fact.

I didn't know that the codenames were listed on the back of the game's boxes/cases. I didn't believe it for myself, so I checked my Mario Kart Wii case, and wouldn't you know it, there was RVL staring back at me.

I LOL'd at the people who disagreed with me.

Actually Skadoosh, 2.7/14.4 = 18.75%, not 5.6%.

You don't hear too many Nintendo fans complaining, because we couldn't really care less about what some nerd show thinks about video games. You all should think this way too. Honestly, who really cares if Halo 3 won GOTY? Does your favourite game losing make you like it less? Hell no. If it did, you deserve to get slapped upside the head.

All that should matter in gaming is if you like the game or not. It shouldn't matter WHO thinks what games are bad/good/best, because no one...

So basically this article didn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

"Thanks for contacting. We are trying our hardest to have as many modes as possible. Our main criterion is that anything that goes in must be stellar quality."

Yeah, we already knew that this was their stance on offline multiplayer. I don't see how this is really saying that offline multiplayer and bots "may be implemented". Honestly if they asked about ANYTHING, they would...

I kinda like that they're keeping their releases a surprise. Too many times this generation a game gets over-hyped, and then people are let down because it wasn't an orgasm on a disc. I LIKE it when I'm browsing in a store and I see a game and I think "Oh, I didn't even know this came out". Nintendo (or any video game company for that matter) doesn't owe it to us to keep us privy as to every step of their game-making process, we should just let them do their thing, and then play ...

mcgrawgamer, I agree. They were getting their butts kicked by trying to be a conventional gaming system (Gamecube) so they decided to see what else they could do with video gaming, something else that Sony and Microsoft weren't doing at the time. And you know what? It worked. They've become very profitable because of the Wii, and they've stood out from the pack as something new and different.

I think that with next generation, there will be even more of a difference between the...

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that once the tourney ends, Nintendo will delete those hacker times (probably anything under 1 minute) and the true top 10 will be shown.

Why do people not have patience anymore? There's more to life than video games you know. Just wait it out, Nintendo will give you your Mario/Zelda. It just takes time. I don't see YOU making video games. So for those of you who are so damn impatient, I say sit down, shut up, and just wait it out. There's a world of stuff for you to do in the next 2 years, don't waste it complaining about things that don't really matter.

I think that a crash will be needed eventually. Gamers are getting too greedy, wanting everything all at once (real-life graphics, online play, etc.). Graphics can only get so good, and eventually they will plateau. People will complain, and a crash will be inevitable. But I think a crash is needed. The crash of 83 did wonders for the video game industry, it basically created the industry. That's what we need, another revolution. And if what it takes is for the industry to hit rock botto...

I agree, very well defined predictions, and there wasn't a lot of "OMG ___ is going to dominate the next year!" It seems like they're all branching off in different directions, which I think is what has to happen in this console war. They can all be successful if they each find their own niche.

I also agree that Nintendo doesn't really NEED 3rd party support, because their 1st party games sell so well. Nintendo's biggest problem they NEED to focus on is the productio...

I say Kudos to Microsoft. They recognize that Nintendo invented a winning formula, and now they're going to try it for themselves. While Sony and Microsoft were focusing on the gamers they knew about, Nintendo was focusing on EVERYONE, not just gamers. That's what moves consoles, as it's been seen in the sales figures of Wiis. But Microsoft saw that their path they were on wasn't going to work forever, so they're now changing it up. This is something Sony doesn't really understand, and it...

I'm REALLY looking forward to this game. High Voltage is going all out with this one. I think the ONLY negative part of this game that people will say is the lack of offline multiplayer. But then again, I don't think too many people will be complaining with they're too busy fighting off 15 other people in online multiplayer.

I wonder HOW they're going to implement WiiSpeak though. Will it only be used between Friend matches? Or will you be able to hear the voices of people in...

Mausenheimmer, you do realize that not every one of those 10-million people who bought GTA or CoD were hardcore gamers. Word of mouth is spreading to the casuals about those games too, since video games are becoming more and more mainstream. Plenty of casuals picked that game up because "so many people are talking about it". People are weak, and they're stupid. They can't think for themselves, so if they hear that "so and so is gonna sell great and it's gonna be awesome&quo...

You do realize that he's talking to more people when he's talking to casuals, right? When he talks to casuals, he's potentially talking to everyone who owns a TV, which is plenty more than the 'hardcore' crowd. And no, casuals are not just kids and women. There are plenty of adult males who are casuals, plenty of people who don't have to go online and self-hype up games for other gamers to make themselves feel better.

I can't wait for the day when people look down their nose a...

Yes, they mentioned that the teams responsible for Mario and Zelda were (separately) working on new titles. Since they didn't have anything concrete to announce about these titles at this time, they just glanced over them. I think it was early in the presentation, if you want to check it out for yourself.

Wow there's just so many things wrong with what you just said. So many incorrect/inconsistent facts.
