Im definitely getting this for my PC. Already have it preordered. I just built a new PC back in Nov and it will handle all this easily.
@JohnDunbar
You dont have to spend over 1000 dollars to make a PC that can play most games on High to Very High Settings. I just built one than can do that for about 900 and could have dropped the price by about another 100-200 dollars if I had gone a little cheaper on some components. Im very happy with my PC now though and am currently playing Mass Effect 2 in 1080p with very high settings.
After they were calling Mass Effect 2 a 360 Exclusive for their head2head for the exclusives, I just cant believe anything that comes from that site. It doesnt matter to me which version looks better because after buying it on PC Im not even sure Ill be buying it again for my PS3. On the flipside if I didnt have this PC I would be buying it for my PS3 and I certainly wouldnt let some site like this who doesnt know what an exclusive means tell me otherwise.
Sony is the main studio behind the movie and the people at Naughty Dog do have a big saying in what happens. I expect great things from the movie and maybe instead of following any of the games it will just be another adventure for Drake. Each of the games so far has told their own stories but served the universe as a whole. The movie could do the same.
I just started playing this on my PC so I dont know if Ill buy it again for my PS3. I will play the demo and see what I think of the controls. But come holidays of next year Ill definitely be buying ME3 for my PC. Again Ill have to decide if I want to double dip or not on that as well.
I already have a big backload of games to play on my PC and this will just tempt me to buy more. Currently playing through Mass Effect 2 and after that Ill be playing Dragon Age Origins.
Them calling Mass Effect 2 a 360 exclusive negates their entire argument. It doesnt matter that the demo for the PS3 version will be out tomorrow or that the full game wont be out until Jan. It is already out on the PC so that makes it a multiplatform game. None of this Microsoft exclusive or console exclusive nonsense will change that.
Only problem with that article is the author saying that there is a Marvel MMO being made for the 360. It actually got canceled and eventually became Champions Online.
That is pretty cool. However I bet Id be ineligible since I was one of the lucky few who got the top 5 games on my list during Thanksgiving weekend. Whoever gets the grand prize will be seriously lucky to get 100 games. I dont even know how Id play that many games as I cant barely put together the time to play the ones I have now.
I got Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition, Civilization 5, Red Alert 3, Risen, and Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. Wouldnt you know it but the day after I got them they were selling KOTOR for 2.50.
Honestly Im not wrried about it much. Im still trying to finish downloading The Orange Box as well as the 5 free games Steam gave me. I was one of the lucky few who got the top 5 games on their wishlist.
Im already getting LBP2 and Dead Space 2 in Jan. I may have to wait on getting this. I also just bought it for my PC and am currently working my way through the first one. Still though I may buy this for my PS3 just to see how the comic intro is done and how it plays on the PS3.
I just bought this for my PC seeing as I also just started playing through the 1st one. But I may still buy the game for my PS3 as well. Im really interested in seeing how the comic is done to tell the first game and allow you to make the choices that will affect the second game.
Getting this and getting GT5 as well. More than enough room for both style of racers for me. I know the other guys in my clan are dreading me getting this though. They never could beat either of my times on the demo.
I sense Sony's hand in all of this. I mean yes the game got delayed from the 2nd but since then we have seen multiple articles about the release being soon. Sony is essentially getting free publicity by keeping people on the hook and the more we dont know the more we want it. When this does finally release it already has years of hype and anticipation behind it. That coupled with all this recent speculation could seriously work in their favor. Anyway Sony knows exactly what they are doing...
Guess he wants to get out now while the getting is good.
So much for you are the controller. More people should read this instead of those so called reviews saying that Kinect is groundbreaking. Im sorry but where were those reviews when the eyetoy came out on the PS2 and you didnt need a controller? Of course people want to bash on Move because you have the camera combined with a controller to have better games. Of course we have the bots saying it is just a Wii rip off. Well what is Kinect now that you will have to have a controller plus Kinect f...
I just wish it would release in the US as well. I dont really want to have to import it.
Except for you have to pay for Live on top of your netflix subscription to even use it on the 360. The Ps3 version you just have to have a netflix subscription. Anyone with a PS3 that is online can download the App and use it. Netflix is huge and with so many options not just game consoles having this option which is really the better choice? a system you have to pay more just to use the same service? or one that will work out of the box for no extra fee?
Seems the backpedaling has already started in the article. Here is a nice little quote directly from it.
"While creating content with your XBox is part of the focus, the bigger picture is the emphasis upon space and the clear message that the interface is to become a social destination in the same fashion as the very successful Second Life service, with interactivity and flair that blows past the failure of the PS3 Home service with its more realistic avatars, delivering...
