They are....they're still accepting trades in but there's nothing that says they have to do preorders until then. My GS said they would give me a gift card if I traded in all my stuff before the 18th but didn't get the slim in until after....check with yours

Just to clarify (without reading article) my local GS said they will still accept trade in values but it could be a store by store thing until July 18th. They also said they expect to get all the preorders filled by july 9th so if you're interested, I would check with your local GS to see how they're handling it
I wouldn't go that far as to say they're selling ot the hardcore people. They did have KB out there with that whole It's about the games speech and talk about hardcore. Move is more adaptable to hardcore games but I would certainly say they aren't trying to sell it to us hardcore gamers
I thought about it but too many games coming out and already out that I have to play through between Starcraft 2, Halo Reach, etc....just thinking ahead and saving money
