That'd be nice if they reined in all their markets and cut the ones that aren't essential. But I, unlike yourself, think gaming is one market they MUST keep running. Cut BMG music, cut Sony Pictures Classic, cut their cameras, cut their mobile, etc. But gaming? No way. You guys, you guys. Sony did an excellent job create a few new killer apps to add to their line-up this generation. The ps4 will probably be similar in jump as to what the 360 was for the original Xbox - worthy to be called next-gen, but not a piece of equipment so powerful and expensive you stunt your growth on the outset of the generation. They'll learn from their costly PS3 launch model... Nintendo and Microsoft (and Android and Valve and Apple and etc.) are too powerful of competition...

Books are written by one person. Typically, art is more impressive when it comes straight from an individual instead of being filtered and modified by dozens of "workers" (as in, video game production). That's why indie games like Braid are more sincere than, say, Kingdom Hearts.
Here's my 2 cents: Square Enix is not made up of the same caliber of folk who made the FFs we loved. Just drop it. Check out other companies and leave SE to wallow in their mistakes.

I'm at the fifth stage of the grieving scale - acceptance. We shouldn't be so entitled anyways. They have no obligation to consumers to keep making games or to release this game quicker than it has been taking.
Oh well. It'll come out eventually, that's for sure because there's no way that it will get scrapped at this point.
It will be a great game. Could be the last great PS3 game before next gen revs up.
I think the PS3 will continue to into the next generation for at least a year or two. The 360 and Wii likely won't sell much after their successors' release. Sony makes sure their systems have a longer life cycle than their competitors.
I knew Team ICO had a PS3 exclusive in the works as they were/are a SCE Japan company.
If I would correct myself I'd say:
"FF Versus XIII and the next Team ICO game..." were why I bought a PS3 on launch.
And I didn't enjoy my PS3 very much. The few I really loved were MGS4, Demon's Souls, and Ratchet & Clank Future. The rest were pretty sub-par, in my opinion.
The PS2 was a better system.
You forgot FF Versus XIII and The Last Guardian. Those two games were the reason I bought a PS3 on launch day. Those two damn games.

Honestly, this video should mean very little to gamers. Buy what you want to play, not what the industry may be trending toward. I still want to build a PC because it would be awesome. I can't stand touch screen gaming.
