No, they won't be the last physical consoles...the internet sucks in A LOT of places in this country. I'm not sure when - if ever - it will be good enough to support strictly services based online play.
Personally, I didnt like the combat and thus stopped playing. To each his own.
Dont bother, game is boring as hell.
