doesn't matter, both have laggy multiplayer. expect a lot of disconnects or host ended game
can be frustrating.. AI becomes too accurate but in terms of AI routines, non-existent. they just stand there or run towards you in a scripted manner.. and then, of course, the grenades and infinite respawn..
but, if you don't want to deal with them, you can just run to the next checkpoint and they magically disappear
but not sure if i'll be picking it up, flowers are only for the ladies.. j/k
i have a problem with this concept.. i mean, yeah half-life was good during its hey-day.. but right now it pales in comparison to, say COD4, in terms of polish or Bioshock in terms of gameplay mechanics or any other FPS today in terms of graphics/presentation.. don't get me wrong, i played the heck out of HL.. but HL2 is way better.. and so are other FPS titles..
so, yeah, HL is the best FPS at the time it was released. but that's judging it relative to its time. now it's date...
* the ads are lame, not a bad-ass diorama, which a kid in middle school can do
* haha, did not solded 11 millzions copies liek gaylo 3 on day #1
* ok, so the KZ2 is the king of all fps BUT ps3 controller sucks for fps
* der are more ODST sales than KZ2, patetic
* cod4:MW2 will pwn this one. we jsut needs to wait 9 months
it also has a built-in blu ray player. and considering blu ray won the format war, that's a very good thing. and yeah, the no games 4 PS3 arguement died when uncharted/ratchet and clank came out in 07
and the no need to buy a 3fixme started when bioshock was port in aug 08..wait, maybe even sooner, when RROD first showed 3 days after the launch
any game is a waste of time according to my girlfriend.. when she wants something from me while i'm playing.. haha..
how about gaylo 3??? their main points boil down to the following:
* The game looks really nice?... NOT. 640p, it's not even HD.
* You shoot a lot of things. which you miss because of laggy p2p.
i have no 3fixme but i am able to play L4D, mass effect, and gears of war 1.. go figure
hey, edge, can you honestly say Kilzone 2 is a 7?
this is a review not an editorial. you need to judge and evaluate the game based on it's merits and faults, not based on your own selfish agenda. your opinion should be, at the very least, reasonable. you need to back up your score logically. that's your responsibility as a gaming magazine.
if you say you can honestly say Kilzone 2 is a 7, even after every other reveiw gave KZ2 a significantly higer score, then, y...
iron lungs makes this combo even deadlier
flower, street fighter 4, Prinny, and Noby Noby Boy. i think i'm forgetting something... halo wars!?!.. LOL rts on a console LOL
that's the first thing i tested, shooting light bulbs. no effect, whatsoever.
i don't any shooter this gen does that, though.
if you kill 3 teammates before the cutscene, Garza will kill you
laggy as hell.
KZ2 has dedicated server. Like R2 and Warhawk, no lag
the slowed-down, deliberate pace of KILLZONE 2 feels not fun at first. this game reminds me of the tactical gameplay of socom and counter-strike back in the days. auto-aim turned down, walking instead of running fro better results.
slow =/= boring.
it may not be as intense as run and gun but the slowed-down pace creates more tense moments. you just need more patience and brains in these games.
my reason is PS3 games do not sell out on release day, historically. maybe it's different, maybe i should pre-order this time to be safe. nah, i scheduled my vacation starting the 27th. i'll just go to the mall early.
the controls take sometime to get used to. here's why:
- obviously, it's slow and weighty. the x-axis that seems to lag/ be insensitive
- auto-aim is minimal
- turning while running is different/difficult. here the deal: you can't turn 90 degrees while running in this game. same in real life. try it on both and it won't work.
- the cover system is new. to peek out, you need to hold down the left stick, L1, and L2. then you need to aim with the right stick. and then pre...

based on that 10 minute demo, it deserves the hype. until proven otherwise, so will the full game.
now, if only we can be assured that the multiplayer part will be working on day one..
when you are using iron sights and press reload.. nothing happens.. that's something you need to get used to, not lag..
