Dude sorry, but it was Rockstar. Bugs + lack of meaningful, consistently released content. You can't release an MMO-like game and not handle like an MMO.
Having billions to spend on whatever I want gave me the freedom to enjoy the game how I wanted, without Rockstar's forced grind stopping me. Free Roam has never been so much fun.

yes but they also took away choice and freedom from the players. Pre-launch they said players would have the ability to create their own lobbies with their own settings, and that never happened.
I'm sure a lot of people would rather have access to everything and not have to deal with Rockstar's system. I mean hell, we can't even have LAN or host our own servers because of all that persistent world stuff. So when Rockstar's service is down, so is GTAO.
they are cannon fodder and help with immersion. It adds another layer of gameplay. They aren't bots. They are footsoldiers. There's difference. In BF4's campaign you don't play against bots. Bots are meant to mimic players. That's not the purpose they serve here. You are basically the elite members of the team and have others with you when you go into battle. Stop whining, you'll buy it, play it and probably like it anyway. Gamers man.
they aren't bots. They are AI teammates. Footsoldiers. About a dozen per team. And then are may be NPCs who control their own titans. People also ignore the fact that Titans have an auto pilot, so that means there can be 12 active titans, a ton of AI soldiers, and 12 players all at once.
Titans came roam in AI mode. Plus the AI soldiers on the ground. I think 6 vs 6 is reasonable. Because technically there could be 12 Mechs and 12 players on foot. That's a lot of action going on. Then you have a good amount of AI soldiers.
