Isn't this a bit late? With declining HD-DVD sales, I think the built in drive would be a bit of a waste now. Blu-Ray is dominating the market and with even Paramount accepting the bribe to go HD only for 18 months being unable to slow it down, this is catch up move that I doubt will work. M$ should've did this when the console first launched(more RROD?) to battle the PS3's Blu-Ray disc drive. I think an "Ultimate" console would also do more to alienate early adopters like myself. I...

This is just a game, people and everyone's getting all bent out of shape over which system it's on. Jumping to conclusions is how you make a fool of yourself. If you wanna play Metal Gear Solid 4, just get a PS3. If not, go on with your life. I own both systems because I know there are some games the other system just won't get. I saw the "casting call" trailer back before the PS3 was released and was impressed. That's one of the reasons there's a 60gb PS3 right besied my Elite 360.
I think any further modifications to the 360 console would serve to anger early adopters, even though I've already heard about the proposed 360 Ultimate that's supposed to be out later this year(that may be the announcement!)
Besides the fact that there hasn't really been anything I wanted to play on my Elite this year, having my console RROD on me ruined my gaming experience with my 360. I play my PS3 alot more, even though Ninja Gaiden 2 and Lost Odyssey will probably change that, I'm still more interested in my PS3. I'm surprised people didn't go at M$ with lawsuits and what not because of this. If the NES had died like this, there would've been riots in the streets and Nintendo would've been sued out of exista...
At E3 Hideo Kojima said and I quote, "The Metal Gear Solid series started on Playstation and it will end on Playstation..." I know people have differences of opinion, and I know about the failure rate of the 360 because even I was a victim of it, but this video should remind us not only of what video games are about but also what Christmas is really about! I don't care if the game doesn't look any better than the first Ninja Gaiden on XBox, it's still a new Ninja Gaiden game and it's going to be sweeter than Megan Fox(Transformers!) modeling her Vicky's! Is this what HD has reduced gamers to? Arguing over the slightest difference in pixels and framerates? Capcom is one of the best third party devs in the world and they don't do crappy ports and half ass jobs like Valve handing off The Orange Box to EA for the PS3 version! Devil May Cry 4 is going to be a classic whether you play it on PS3, 360, PC, NeoGeo, Dreamcast, or even TurboGrafix 16! Grow up, people!

Everything that envolves technology crashes from time to time. In fact, early today, my DirecTV reciever crashed! If you go back through gaming history, every video game system ever made has crashed at one point in time! Now dry ya' eyes, resest your PS3, and keep playing!
I agree because I've come across some knuckleheads on Live, but I've also played with a few GAMERS as well. The only really bad experience I've had so far was ending up on a team where everyone spoke only Japanese while playing Gears(but the 360 isn't supposed to be selling in Japan!!!) They really do need some mods to monitor Live and PSN alike and ban the accounts of people that get out of hand.
Are they only counting movies or do games on Blu-Ray count, too?
