Well PS3 is bound to overtake 360 sooner or later. Of course if microsoft doesn't decide to pull out early out of console war by offering 720 next year (wouldn't suprise me).
If you ask me, 3 things gave 360 the advantage in sales:
1. 1,5 year earlier than PS3.
2. RROD - caused by rushing the console out, due to panic of simultaneous release with sony. RROD made people buy replacement 360s (IGN even stated that they already replaced 5...

Crytek is known for talking shit. I still remember statements like "it's gonna look beter than uncharted 2". And by the looks of it, it's decent, but it doesn't come even close to U2.

I stopped reading when I saw "says Square Enix CEO".
If it wasn't for the consoles, these people wouldn't even exist. So I'd put a bit more effort in developing games if I was in their skin, since they still haven't produced jaw dropping title this gen.
As you already quoted, I said that sony offered strong 3D support, not that they pushed first 3D blu ray/invented the whole thing themselves. I am well aware that movies such as Avatar have done a lot to popularize 3D technology.
But, when it comes to console HD gaming sony is the only one doing it now. I have no doubt that microsoft will, in the end, make a half assed attempt at 3D (since they always copy/paste what others do).
Few days ago, I've seen Panasonic 3D plazma. There was a guy presenting it and he invited me to try out the TV with glasses.
I was blown away! There was this first person rafting scene, and it was incredibly intense experience in 3D. I also saw few other demos and I have to say that each one was incredible in its own way.
3D is happening now. I agree that it would be a much more pleasant experience without glasses, but you stop noticing them after few min...
@Hacker: GT5 is one of those games where you don't have to say VROOOM, VROOOM to accelerate. Instead you can actually use buttons, pedals, and that thing you didn't even know existed called wheels...
