I haven't finished but I did get to a few parts where you're more alone
and, I loved them
like my 3 favorite parts involved not having Mimir yelling "BEHIND YOU BROTHER< TO YOUR LEFT"
it's honestly unbearable
Mostly you could skip them
I'd rather that than having the same comments 300 times
And if prefer some crickets every now and then over aloy narrating the game or forcing hints / tutorials
I do too
but I don't repeat it every time I do something
I don't say "I'm gonna stand up now" or "gotta use the bathroom" 20 times a day
Back to the basics of the old days where characters could shut tf up for 10 seconds?

No I don't remember gaming being just about non competitive fun if I'm honest
Even arcade games had high scores and 2 player challenge mode entries
I've heard plenty of people older than me talking about the old days of putting a quarter up on the machine in challenge
