i didn't know creating the experience they want to make was bad business, but they seem to be doing fine, i'd imagine they have people much better than you to help them with business decisions
No it wouldn't hurt individual experiences but it would take away the games reputation as being a hard game, instead it would be a gem that's hard on higher difficultie...

The difference is that these games are made to be like this, it would take away from the games reputation in general, the souls games are known for being hard, none of the games with "brutal mode" are as well known for being hard because it is not the standard in the game.
