Yeah, but... the DS library is playable on 3DS, and the DS that could actually play GBA games is discontinued, so either way, the potential library of games for the 3DS is automatically larger... Sometimes, you people make my brain hurt...
If these stages aren't included in the 3DS/Wii U version, they should at least be available as DLC. Some of my favorite stages in the series.
Ditching them is a terrible idea, though. It's like Halo. Those who thought that the Halo series would be a trilogy kind of had a point. But would the developers ever think of limiting the series to a certain number of games? Hell no, because they had created a well known brand. Brands are a good thing. I quite like my Element flannels.
