Gotta take "no plans" with a grain of salt. They say that about everything, and I do mean everything. It's largely because when we make contact with anyone from Nintendo of America, we just reach a low level person who would probably be fired for giving out any useful information. With Street Fighter IV, DOA Dimensions, Tekken, Super Smash Bros, and BlazBlue (even though the reviews were terrible), that thing will be drowning in fighters. Mortal Kombat or a new Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom could be pretty sweet anyway, though.

Actually, when I think about Kmart, Zellers, Walmart, Target, or any store, really, the first thing that comes to mind is video games.

I'm not saying their consoles don't have great games - of course they do. But they aren't typically made by Sony or Microsoft directly - they're made by Bungie, Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Team Ico, etc - 2nd party studios. Now if those studios went 3rd party...
Yeah. Developers have to stop limiting themselves to 3D. I love to see things like La Mulana, Cave Story and Rayman Origins.
Western games aren't the future. Shooters aren't even the future. Each console generation has a genre that just takes over (well, at least since the 3rd generation). Third was the 2D platformer, fourth was the turn-based RPG, fifth was the 3D platformer, sixth was the FPS, and same with the seventh. I think that they have nearly over-stayed their welcome.
