Why is this so important to you? I can say for myself atleast that it would piss me off if I was being botherd by people out side of the game I am playing.
I am satisfied with the way it is now, I know when I get a message or an invite and I will answer them when I am ready.And I don't pause a game when I get a message I wait untill the level is over or the load screan is up.I am content with being able to voice chat or video chat outside of the game.

We would be over charged and there would most likely be a lower standard for games and consoles.
You will continue to get blogs and articals like this as long as there is a negative spin on the PS3 from would be jornualists who seem to hate the PS3.
After the SLIM was announced there was nothing but bad PRESS about it , so it seems almost natural that the we are going to see bad press about the other side aswell.
I think that it's more about the media that is being negative towards the PS3 slim and the price drop.On top of that it's the MEDIA that is sparking the flames of the console war and loyal fanboys on both sides are going F'N CRAZY.

We Canadians don't have the videostore or anything like that, and there was no mention of it ever coming to Canada.I know that our American friends have all the perks of the PSN that we Canadians lack and I find it quite frustrating.
But I love my Ps3 non the less.
I have the 60 gb launch sku..... it's an oven and it's on it's death bed, although I have managed to keep it running.
I look at it this way. Would you buy a car an expect that it would never break down? Probably not, although you don't want the model of car that breaks down 3 times a year either.
I do plan on buying the SLIM but I am also planning on sending my 60 gb sku into get repaired . I like having all the bells and whistles on my launch ps3!!I have 3 kids ...
