I just recently finished GTA4. I do not understand how this game got 10/10 across the board because it is not perfect. Actually, it's far from it. But I still enjoyed the game for what it was.
Will I still be playing this game now? I may go back to pick up the final pigeons and complete the races/jobs I did not complete during the story just because I am a completest. But once I am through with that this game is going on the shelf. The multiplayer is not nearly as fun as ...

I was looking forward to this game this summer. Oh well, as long as it is a good game I could care less when it comes out. As long as it makes the game better I'm fine with a delay.
In all honesty though, I wouldn't have any time anyway considering that MGS4 will consume my life after it's released.
Honestly, I agree that Halo and Gears are two of the most hated games on this site. That's because of some serious fanboys on this site who cannot look past their particular console and appreciate what the other console is achieving. I play my PS3 more than 360 BUT I will be the first to pick up a controller to play some Halo or GeOW because those games are FUN.
I'd say that the reason this game is not getting the praise right now is because from the gameplay and screenshot...
This has nothing to do with hating on the 360. If this game were the same type of adventure platforming game we've known from the past but improved throughout there'd be no hating on it I would bet.
Instead, they made this game seem like a total change with 80% vehicle-based gaming. I'm fairly interested in seeing how the game actually plays but I am far from excited from this news on the changes.
Okay, for a more dignified comment. I saw the gameplay video not too long ago and nothing in there looked exciting. Generic fighting, generic weapons, generic graphics.
I will NOT be picking this up.

I don't understand why everytime there is good news for either 360 or PS3 it always leads to bickering. Damn, if you were a GAMER you would have both of these consoles and be playing BOTH of their exclusives. I sure as hell know that's what I am doing. When I went out for a few drinks with Roman the very first time, I decided to try out the drunk driving. The game actually told me that I was too drunk to drive when I got into the car, and then right after a cop radar shows up on the screen with two stars.
Talk about some ish right there. How can that not be a positive thing?
This was easily the worst GTA there was. Sure, there was more to do. But the game just did not have the sharpness of the previous version, Vice City. The RPG elements were a horrible idea, imo.
Still good of course, just not the best one out there.

you do not need to pay for mgo. you may have to pay for additional map packs that come out later this year, but as far as the service you will not need to pay to play.

Personally, I've had one PS3 crap out on me because my HDMI port stopped working after an update. My Xbox360 is still running fine. I just don't use it because I am afraid of it breaking someday. This could be a problem but it's a very small percentage and it will never be at a scale of the RROD.
