Nintendo, has made it their business, nay, they built their entire EMPIRE on the backs of a few, extremely well known, diverse, and memorable characters.
While in recent times this has amounted to them milking classic franchises to death, its the fact that the characters are extremely well established that allows them to do this. It's also because of the fact that these character's are established (and diverse) that allows a crossover like SSB to even exist.

I loved both this and blur, and I can't really afford two racers at the moment (RDR comes out in a few days), so I'm gonna see how blur scores, and take it from there, at the moment, I'm leaning more towards blur.

While I agree that my generation is different, we are non the worse than yours. You assume my generation is "the worst" because of how we behave and socialize, but the reality of the matter is that sometimes, socialization evolves, and behavior is subject to the individual.
If you want to get technical about it I believe that "the worst generation" is anybody born between 1940-19...

The series awhile ago, but the way this game is comming along, I might have to start watching again just to figure out what the hell is going on.
The fact that Okami, which is arguably the best looking game "artistic wise" of the last generation, and hell, maybe even of all time, isn't present, is nothing short of an embarrassment.
The watercolor effects and overall art style of Okami are still in my mind superior to just about everything that's been put out in recent memory.

James Earl Haylee (is that how you say it), wasn't a BAD freddy, in fact I thought he brought a lot to the table, however it's unfortunate that literally EVERYTHING ELSE in the movie was utter crap, from the plot to the special effects, to the fucking blood and gore...and the teenage actors, don't even get me started, I myself could act circles around their asses.
