Why do people beg so much for online when games like this don't need it?

SSHD was an amazing game, can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves.
Usually you need to sync before hand so all the trophies are accounted for.
You probably didn't sync the three trophies you got when you switched your unit. It tells you to sync when you switch HDD's so it can save your trophy info on PSN, whichever trophies aren't synced are lost.
Oh dear....I'm already horrible with whoring my trohpies on the PS3. If they came to the PSP, welp then I think I'd be done for.

Never heard someone put it that way. I'm not much of an online kind of guy cept to get a good arcade game, I've heard a lot of different things but is Gold membership just for the ability to play online or does it come with other goodies?

I didn't hear any of you complaining back in the good ol' days when online wasn't even heard of, and the games were just as fun and had plenty of replayability to them.
Why add online? It just makes for a longer developing time and most fail, ie. Riddick, FEAR2, FarCry 2, Resident Evil 5...and so on.
A lot don't need online because of the shear fun they are to play over and over. Hell, trophies and achievements should be enough right there to play a...
Dead Space was one of those games where if it had nothing but the environment and the amazing sound, it would still be the scariest game this gen.

And yet, if Sony lowers the price you can expect much of that pie to be GT5's.
Seeing how people are already buying the PS3 for exclusives, there's no doubt that recent hardcore fans will purchase a PS3 just for this game.
I wouldn't go as far as to say everyone, but from seeing GT's past sales and how well they did, it's not to far from the truth.
KZ2 was overhyped and on shaky ground coming from a letdown known as the first Killzone. 3 should do better next time around, hopefully.
Multiplayer is welcomed sure, but there are some games that really don't work to well with online and then there are those that don't need online.
The Uncharted multiplayer was a surprise and a great experience, no doubt, but not all games deliver an online experience like this.
A lot of the games you find that come with online play are either poorly populated with little to no people playing or it turns out to be an awful experience, ie. The Darkness, Riddick, FarCr...
