When other developers had masterpieces left and right in the earlier days but struggle to even manage a decent game in 2022, that says a lot about the lack of creativity and pride that devs used to put into their games. It has been ruined by the mindset "How can we maximize profits". This is why games like Stray and smaller studios put out succeed so wonderfully, they put their all in it without stuffing gameplay or rewards behind paywalls and grind.
Waiting on the og peter parker character model before they Tom Holland'd poor peter.
I think that would take the surprise or sense of accomplishment from some of the quests. They reward those who pay attention to small cues or clues as to what to do next. Kind of reminds me of old school dungeons where you had to map the areas out yourself with pen and paper. I do like how they added the NPC's on the map so you don't have to really wander around trying to find them again.
140 hrs before I beat it. I definitely went out of order as far as some NPC storylines because I could not stop myself from trying to peak to see what was next in the world. Never have I spent so much time on a souls game, EVER. FromSoftware deserve every reward, trophy, decoration they have coming later this year.
It rewards you immensely for exploring the world around you and it's addicting to find that next hidden dungeon or hidden path to a new weapon/talisman. That's what open world games have missed lately, the rewarding of going "Huh, wonder what's over there or what's down this way?" Not just empty space to make the world bigger.
You should care because putting cosmetics behind a pay wall takes away from the fun of earning and unlocking them instead. Think if GoW had all the badass gear cosmetics locked behind a paywall, not cool. It only encourages them to keep adding MT's little by little.
Shame Bungie couldn't take Halo with them, it's been nothing but mediocre with 343 since they left for Destiny. Halo on Playstation would've been pretty awesome.
IGN gave Battlefield 2042 a 7/10 as well...so that basically makes this an actual 10/10 game by their standards considering BF was a fucking trainwreck of a game.
Thus Abby of War was made.
You can have capitalism without being a douche and charging for everything, that's just horrible management and horrible people.
Just from her books alone, I feel we are going to see a lot more BLM or "the fight against racism". Hope not, and I might be completely wrong.
Hopefully it pulls a No Mans Sky, I freaking bled for my 3080 just to play this.
Many other games are much better suited for GoTY contender, Psychonauts 2 being one. From everything I've seen from Deathloop is that the concept is different from any other game I've played thus far but that's about it.
The only good news out of this whole remake era is that I get to catch up on my backlog since I've already played, beaten and enjoyed a majority of these remakes coming.
No, they're wrong period. If Sony did this I'd cancel right away. PC gaming for online only from then on.
Skip the Ubisoft version, waiting to see who else jumps on this! A shred of amazing news in this shit year, good to hear it!
Can we make every zombie Abbie? That'd be a mod I'd pay good money for! XDD
Little odd Ghosts wasn't nominated for music/score, thought it some pretty pretty powerful scores in there.
So now when I want to get the steelbook editions I'm going to have to shell out $100+ for ONE game. Yea, no, justifiable my ass. They're going to keep raising prices until we are paying $100 for just the standard editions. How can anyone be ok with this? There are other avenues they can take to increase profits other than constantly charging $10 more each gen.
Best looking Tech Demo I've ever seen! Wow!
