Great move. Would have gotten overshadowed with all the other AAA releases this holiday season.
Could Sony buy Insomniac? Would they be willing to be bought, or is it too late now? Insomniac would be a great addition to the PS family.

Lacking certain online features, so no.
Both games have very different gameplay styles/feel. Battlefield is more slower paced and tactical, while MW3 is more twitchy and fast pace. Some people might find the slower pace of BF3 to be more fun, while others may not.
