Thanks for the input. Sounds like the mute button is the most powerful ability we have when it comes to our online experience, and yes it would be sweet to be able to ban people for modding in a more effective way than just reporting the person.
I completely agree with you. It just takes the fun out of the games and makes me want to give up on playing them altogether. Cheaters aren't very good at hiding their cheating. I enjoyed your example because that is pretty typical for online shooter games where it's obvious a person modded or glitched their way to that score.
I'm happy with the privacy settings on Xbox Live, but it still saddens me to overhear children curse others out. Terrible parenting.
I totally agree. I look at my game shelf and realize that the majority of my games are shooters, even though I wouldn't classify shooters as being what I play the most. Whenever a shooter comes out I tend to wait for the general consensus before buying it. Do you think that most gamers gravitate more towards shooters?
Thank you for not choosing Kane and Lynch. Such a terrible pair.
I borrowed it from a friend and enjoyed it, but the replay value is low. I would rent or borrow.
I would also like to throw in ilo and milo. My wife about dies from cuteness overload every time we play.
I like your thinking. The time frame for making these games hasn't changed which is sad. I wish more developers would spend more time on these games instead of slopping them together.
I loved those games on the SNES. I wish that quality was present in more recent games, especially super hero games. You would think with better hardware that the games would be epic, but too often they come up short.
PC gaming has the technological lead because it is easier, and most often cheaper, to upgrade your PC to play better games than it does to update your console. PC games also tend to have better dedicated servers for online play. It's a hard decision between PC and console because both have their major strengths and flaws.
I think games should give us the choice. Different people are accustomed to different layouts. Why do some developers give us the choice to full customization and others dont?
I doubt my nerd rage would ever get that bad. I love our gaming system and would never throw it.
I had that happen to me in Modern Warfare 2. I finished a Spec Ops mission and as I was running to the objective I got run over by a truck. Thanks for the help commrades!
I always hated sniping when an AI teammate would jump in front of my shot. Then they would call me a traitor!
Kat in any vehicle is a bad idea. I would love to see her driving a Scarab.
Yes. I remember having a harder time with Halo and the low survival rate of my AI buddies. It's like their armor was made of paper and they were shooting themselves.
Halo is the king of AI fails hands down. Deriving is the worst AI skill.
I read Extra Lives. It is an awesome book and gives a good overview of video games and how they have developed over the years/ been important in our lives.
He makes it look easy.
I felt that way too with my measly 46K. I thought I had a problem until I noticed that people actually had over 200,000G.
