If the situation is anything like the US, its the cheaper console with lots of price cuts and promotions.
Wouldn't make much of a difference normally but Sony has been slacking this year with a lack of good bundles and few price cuts and promotions.

It's your typical Nintendo console with a gimmick. Nintendo fans will love it, everyone else? Not so much.
Titanfall 1's DLC was made free as well once they realized no one was buying it.
It just doesn't make sense to split a community that is already so small.

It's $399-$499. It's not going to move the needle much in terms of console sales. It's currently selling to existing owners.
They're not actually wrong. I mean Xbox One won these past few months not because it outsold the PS4, but because the PS4 is underperforming due to a high price and anticipation of the PS4 Pro.
PS4 was $350 until the launch of the Slim in mid-September.
XB1 has been $250 since August.

PSVR is an accessory. It's not counted as a console sale.
Anyway the PS4 Slim isn't really relevant. I mean the regular PS4 and the "slim" and pretty much the same exact thing. There's literally no reason for people to upgrade. That's what the PS4 Pro is for.

The PS4s OS is not called "XMB". That's a PS3 term.
It's that horrible forced Windows 10 crap. It slows down and limits the whole OS. I don't know how people Xbox fans put up with it. To make things worse they do like monthly updates to the OS and manage to fix none of the real issues. Half of the 'updates' to the XB1 OS are features that either should have been there day 1 or have been on Xbox 360 for years. It's a disaster.
A low price can make the console much more attractive for those on the fence.
Most people are fine playing FIFA, COD or Battlefield on PS4 or Xbox One. To many people only the price of entry matters. Microsoft currently holds this advantage since August.
