I hope Sony has learned its lesson with the PS3. There is still time to save the PS4.
As the franchise that BUILT gaming, I highly doubt COD is in any sort of decline.
One of the greatest games of the year (maybe GOTY??), it deserves to make money on good DLC. I think the issue is the game is so dang long that its hard to finish it before the DLC arrives.. and many gamers won't buy DLC until the actual game is finished.
If Activision buys Take Two, we gamers will benefit the most.
They were probably too expensive to employ. For the number of people that will buy Call of Duty on the Vita, it just wasn't worth it. Activision needs to make these calls based on business, not personal feelings, and that's exactly what they did.
Real gamers are waiting for the new Xbox and PS. Activision knows this and has no interest in catering to the casual crowd that buy Nintendo consoles.
Its business, live with it.
Bigger certainly does not always mean better... But 99% of the time it does!
Can't stand the wait for GTA V!!!
Im sick of these articles. Yes, we know the PS3 is a developer's nightmare and therefore nothing runs as well on it as on X360. Blah blah blah. Old news. Its why I play everything on X360 and use my PS3 for exclusives and blu-ray. Its the same story millions of gamers have.
Sony has learned its lesson. The PS4 will be a true competitor's to Microsoft's console, and as gamers we will be the ones benefitting from it.
So stop writing these articles. ...
PS3.. That's quite an expensive Netflix player, considering the application is free. In fact, my TV has netflix built in.
I don't think being #1 for Netflix streaming is something to brag about.. That's like air bragging that its the #1 thing delivered to lungs.
lol no one plays BF3 anymore.. It feels like playing Doom at this point. Just wait for MW4 if you want a real shooter, or play Black Ops 2 for now.
oh my... yummy yum yum.
What a strange article. Consoles destroyed PC gaming, and never fell after that. How can they possibly rise again?
Things were pretty tight this year.. Halo vs Mass Effect 3 definately seemed possible. But Assassins Creed 3 ended up temporarily stealing the show... And Black Ops 2 stole the entire competition.
Hats off to Treyarch on dominating 2012 by sneaking in right at the end. As gamers, we win either way!
Its one thing to be on top of the industry, its another thing to actually stay on top. Congrats Microsoft, looks like the future is as important as the present.
Sony letting MS get a head start in this generation was NOT a mistake. Any real gamer bought the x360 then gladly bought the PS3 once it came out. Even if you prefer the x360's online play and graphics, you still find a great use for the PS3 for exclusives and a blu ray player. Coming out late to the party does not hurt a console.
The PS3's issue is developers hate working with it. That issue exists whether it was first or last arriving. So go ahead and be late to the...
Hopefully this is an xbox exclusive
My PS3 has served me well as a blu-ray player and an exclusives platform, for things like Uncharted and Killzone. So I'm glad I bought it even if its role is limited.
Hot damn.. The king.Is.Back.
Yes, instead of - dominating - the industry, Call of Duty has declined to more a - crushing - the industry status.
