MGS always had long cut scenes, so that wasn't what bothered me. Believe it or not, I watch them every time I replay it.
What I didn't like was how the game was broken into chapters. I always enjoyed how streamlined the games were, and that hurt it a bit for me.
Another thing was Shadow Moses, which was amazing, but I can't help but to think that there should've been some guards stationed there, instead of those stupid dwarf geckos.

Every second week PlayStation Plus gets content.
The video says short, does that mean we're going to get a full blown trailer down the line? I sure as hell hope so, this is looking awesome! The beta can't come soon enough.
Why is it that I have to have double the amount of space required to download an item? In this case, the Red Faction Guerrilla Game Trial. It says you need about 6GB, but it won't let me download it unless I have 12GB available. I've had this problem with every other big download off the store as well. It's really hard for me to get 12GB available on my 80GB hard drive.
No matter how you try to justify it, it's still theft in the end.
Great job, keep spreading it around! That doesn't make matters worse, right?
August 18th-22nd
Aren't they revealing at PAX though?
That was my biggest complaint with Killzone 2. Nevermind the jetpacks, brutal melee system, or anything else. I want to see the acting and dialogue done right this time around, in Killzone 3. That's the single most important thing to me. It sounds like they're going for an Uncharted approach though, so that gives me some high hopes.
Lost Planet 2 and Naughty Bear both had ad space on IGN, and were rated pretty poorly. So I don't think there's necessarily any truth to that.
But review scores in general mean nothing to me. The games that i've probably had the most fun with this generation are surprisingly some of the lower rated games. Bionic Commando, Lost Planet 2, Section 8, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, just to name a few. If people actually took the time to play them, i'm sure they w...
This "article" looks like it was thrown together in about 5 minutes, not even. Rehashing the same, old, tired, arguments. Instead of actually providing some constructive criticism on these issues, which you feel are SO important.
I may take this opportunity to expand my minis library. The only ones I own so far are Monsters (Probably) Stole my Princess (which I suggest getting), and the minis available to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Right now i'm leaning on Zombie Tycoon.
And although this isn't on the list, I would recommend looking into Section 8 before tomorrow, while it's still 65% off. Downloading the tutorial video and demo would be a good start. There's loads of fun to be had ...
I'd be fine with the 3 character decision if they had followed each of those character's stories throughout the campaign more. Instead of having just an intro, and an ending. Hopefully they'll have some sort of narrative in between.
I'm not really digging the new Grimm look either.
Misleading title is misleading.
They're simply looking for people with "next-gen" technology experience.
Man, I wish I had your willpower. I feel so dirty for clicking the link. There's not a lot there, but this is one game i'm really looking forward to, and don't want to ruin it for myself.
I would've had it pre-ordered by now if it was available on amazon.ca, unfortunately i'm going to have to wait awhile before then. I just hope it'll be the same collector's edition, because I really like the content in this one.
You're forgetting another part of PS+, the sales on games and content.
This may not apply to everyone, but for me, I look at PS+ as a long term plan. If I save $50, over the 15 months I have, on content that I would've originally bought, even if it weren't on sale (and not just because it was discounted). Then it essentially pays for itself, seeing as at some point I was going to buy all of that anyways. But in addition, I get access to all of the free content tha...
I don't recall TMNT: Turtles in Time Reshelled being acclaimed, although I do see your point with the other games.
But what makes a game, like Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, that much better for being a Summer of Arcade title? Especially around this time, when said title is now being offered on PSN for half price at the moment. You would think that's a little more something for people to get excited over, right?
As for getting $15 back, don't forget you...
Spring Fever was actually pretty good for me.
I don't pick up every single game that's released on the PlayStation Store, so it was a good opportunity for me to catch up on some of the games I missed.
Pixeljunk Shooter, for one. I wasn't entirely convinced on the game from the videos I saw, but after picking it up for $5, I had some great fun. Which in return, has encouraged me to buy Pixeljunk Shooter 2 whenever it will be released.
While this isn't a completely horrible idea, would categorizing a game like Joe Danger under something similar to "Summer of Arcade" really make it a better game in its entirety?
I see it as more of an excuse to charge an extra $5 per game for. Do you think Limbo, as great as i'm sure it is, would have been priced at $15 if it weren't a part of the Summer of Arcade line up?
I haven't been following this game very much, but with the name "Shinji Mikami" attached to it, I expect i'm going to be pleasantly surprised.
