Glad they went with the final ending, it feels much more honsest and open to interpretation. Any game that has you analysing its deeper meaning for days, and discussing it with friends is a win win in my opinion. Can't wait for the Campaign DLC, and I'm really hoping it tells the story of Ish. His letters were very interesting, and it's amazing they made me care for a character I never even met.

While I agree that the first party offerings are rather thin, I also think that with games like Watchdogs and AC Black Flag that there will be plenty to buy at launch. Completely agree bro, no one would ever talk about Crysis if it had the graphics of COD. IT's not unique or innovative at all. One of the best FPS this gen was Bioshock 1, and it didn't have awesome graphics(art style was amazing though) it successed by being innovative and unique. Crysis 2 and 3 are something akin to a supermodel, beautiful on the outside, but ugly and shallow underneath.
Naughty Dog owns their own engine, not sure where you get your info from but the Havok engine is a physics engine not a graphics engine dude.
I agree, most people that talk smack about Uncharted's graphics fail to understand that Naughty Dog intentionally makes games that don't look photorealitsic. Most of the games you just listed are developed by Developers who are experts in the Hack N'Slash genre. Crytek(as much as I loved the original Crysis) are a jack of all trades and a master of none. You're damn straight most people would trust Sony Santa Monica or Platninum Games over Crytek within that genre. Crytek makes pretty games, that's it, Sony Santa Monica makes gorgeous games with amazing combat and compelling stories.

It's not even good satire. It's not clever,witty, or well written. I'd say that the people who approved this article didn't even read it. Their marketing on the internet was pretty good, but I didn't see any trailers or commercials on television. In all honesty I think it was word of mouth that helped this game sell so well. For instance, after I beat TLOU I told my friends to go buy it, they said no not right now, I showed them the opening of the game, one of them cried, and now they ALL own this masterpiece. Hopefully next time they just buy what I tell them to and accept that I have much more sense than they do ;)
