i am so glad i will be getting mine on a 1 BD disc with uncompressed sound and video on my ps3
i expect FF13 to sell the most on PS3 for obvious reasons-Jap exclusive, eu preference, 1 BD disc and uncompressed video at 1080p,uncompressed audio
so this is expected
i expect the game to sell 10m on 2 consoles
it is the best game of this gen
graphically i dont really see any console game beating it in the near future. well ofcourse KZ2 comes a close second and Heavy rain/GT5/GOW3 might match it, but i certainly dont see any other console game beating it in graphics, gameplay and immersion
ps3 outsold x360 in september and october
in November sales were virtually tied as 710k and 813k arent that far apart
However when you look globally it is like 1m ps3s vs 200k x360s in europe and 300k ps3s vs just 15k x360s in Japan
so globally x360 is getting a serious pounding and ps3 is tsill 100$ more expensive than x360
x360 is just 200$ and there is just no excuse for poor sales in japan and europe
but at the end of this gen x360 will be a distant third
just US sales alone wont offset the huge advantage ps3 is having in japan and europe.
also in US sales are virtually tied between 2 consoles
expect the diff tobe reduced to as low as 2.5m/3m by the end of this year
i dont know what sales figures you are looking at but dont forget to check the ones at Gaf. excepting UK ,x360 isnt even selling close to ps3 in any region of europe. when was the last time you seen an x360 game in any eu chart sans UK. i am talking spain, france, germany ,italy .middle east and all other pal regions. maybe you can have an odd x360 game on au chart but excepting that its all ps3 in europe.

you can win NA but if u lose badly globally then that matters
you do realize that x360 is likely to be a distant third at the end of this gen. PS3 gains huge traction in japan with ff13.it already has europe in the bag and a huge sales advantage globally for the month of december
europe is a bigger gaming market than north america. add japan and ps3 has the edge in a big way. also in NA it is virtually tied between 2 ...
However i still expect x360 to do very well in US for atleast another year.

the thing is biased sites like edge,eurogamer and others could hate GT5 as much as they want, but GT5 will be the biggest game of 2010 and GT will remain as the ONLY and ONLY racing sim preferred by gamers

people seem to forget that ps2 sold 80m consoles at the price point of 200$. ps3 will be 200$ when it has sold around 45m-50m by september of next year. so extrapolate from thereoff
it would have sold around 45m consoles at the price point of 600$-300$. Now thats a fantastic achievement . u can clearly guess the numbers when it hits 200$
this gen is far from over.
wii sales have plummetted this year and especially after ps3's price cut. you still dont know what happens when ps3 reaches 200$
ps3 is selling as good as the wii when you consider global sales and also the fact that ps3 costs 50% more than a wii
