I guess Godmars, but if a reviewer reviews a story woth some parts of it left out more than a story that was told better. What does that mean? If you like your fantasys or sci fi with some crazy plot development over a simple story which instead focuses on characters, like Uncharted or the last of us....what does that mean?
If Sakuguchi enjoyed FFXV story more than any game he played this year, even despite its flaws. Should he mark down the scores because he sees the flaws...
If you read some of his previous comments he explains why. The game has its faults. If you GoTY objectively maybe it shouldn't get the award. If you GOTY going by what you enjoy...well then its personal opinion. This is like, the reviews that acknowledge the game has flaws but the experience clicked so well anyway that it got its 9-9.5s

Its not correct. Even their own game design has gone beyond that.
I won't say anymore as the witcher 3 and 2 and some of my favorite games ever. But they are BSing themselves if they same story over gameplay.

You really gotta stop moaning about the CG. The CG was never used to tell the story. It was there to showcase something the graphics couldn't. Be it scale or whatever. In game cutscenes were used to tell the story always in FF. That is where character dialogue took place. Now in FFXV its outside of cutscenes that dialogue takes place.

There have been plenty of guys who...yada yada, theres been a diverse cast of males from crazy, introverted, normal and funny etc. So much so that they are not similar majority of the time.

Combination of director and rushing the game. The gameplay is fine, you can see they focused on it over the story. The free DLC stuff, for the major components that are on their way, by all rights would normally be part of the released product - As in, your parties have side stories that are not told in the game...so far.
