Every time I bit the bullet and buy a Nintendo console, I get shafted on game purchase options.
Sort of a click bait article, considering most games program for FP16 and not 32. I believe I read an article a ways back that touted AMD having the superior FP32 card to Nvidia (1 or 2 generations back), but sucked at FP16 operations thus why the cards lagged behind the GeForce brand in gaming.
Perfectly said about it being a companion thing. Did not see myself doing PS Now for $10/mo but here I am exploring different games on their roster.
It takes two to tango.

Might want to do a tiny bit of research before opening your maw and oppose a viewpoint. Taking a rumor article and their hype mongering as gospel is just stupid.
In context, you have a 2080 Ti running 4352 CUDA cores
This rumored 3080 is going to run 3480 CUDA cores.

Agreed.
Microsoft should not and cannot beat Sony at their own game. They need to do their own thing and do it in such a way that makes their customers think, "Gee I never knew I wanted that."
AAA developers have been doing this for years and breeding a tribal mentality of brand loyalty. Why can't I be the type of person who wants to own both consoles because they each bring something unique to the table?
I do not see why this is not more upvoted. It was clear that Bob Iger had to course correct the Star Wars brand in ALL facets to save it. This included EA's contract to supply games. There were even rumors of a Bob Iger call to the CEO of EA to get it right or face consequences. Lo and behold a SP-Jedi Combat-AAA star wars game was announced shortly after.
This Forbes article has quite a few technical fallacies when talking about the home setup.
That aside, the US internet infrastructure is horribly equipped to support this model of entertainment. While the author 'MAY' get 200+ Mbps transfer speed I doubt that is a "sustained" throughput to support Stadia, PS Now, etc.
After being paid to deal with this issue for over nine years I would start pointing my finger to the ISP bandwidth before blaming the serv...
Watchdogs! Game developer shows overhyped demonstration of a game at announcement, people lose their collective minds. When game launches with obvious downgraded graphics, people cry bait-and-switch and want their money back.
CyberPunk 2077! Game developer shows actual gameplay demonstration of a game at announcement, people shrug and are like, "Eh it was ok."
BRB. Going to put popcorn in the microwave for when this game launches. Comment sect...
Because it is quite common for people to acknowledge that any game "announced" and not released in an 18 month window is obviously "delayed."
It does not matter if the developer admits it or not. Why say we are working on said game just string people along for years at a time? Answer, just to build the hype and get the development dollars rolling in. Hell I can say this for Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 remake, etc.
When did we begi...
Revealed December 2016. No release date announced. I wonder if Naughty Dog is trying to pull a SquareEnix and break FF13 record for delayed games? God help us if it is a FF15 wait.
Just remember, the 80s had it right.

Gamers: Go into the light
EA: No you said DON'T go into the light
$20 price tag makes it easier to sell as well.
I wish I could give the article a pass. However, five years of playing this game up-to and through the raiding scene just betrays the content. The surface presentation is like an instagram personality seen only through their posted pictures. When you truly get inside and interact with the community do you see it just as toxic as any other game's. It truly is sad how SE does very little to police the playerbase on its platform. It makes for an ugly experience after playing through the init...
One could even go onto speculate that the "foundation" of the question needs to be better formulated. Is the article attempting to ask why big-news is not covering a format that should get wider exposure.
OR, is it why not better organize esports into a model that better imitates traditional media?
Frankly, there is a ton of bias in this conversation without people properly self-reflecting on what esports needs to be for them to individually say...
Because traditional media is a colossus set in its ways. One only has to look at the case study of how they almost went bankrupt in the early 2000s. The internet almost usurped traditional media as the premiere source of information. It was not until around 2011 that traditional media figured it out and adapted.
In comparison it will take the world adopting esports and elevating it to the levels of televised sports to force traditional media's hand.
Could not edit anymore but figured to throw a 2060 Super in as well.
5700xt vs 2060 Super @1440p
Framerate:
AMD = 4% faster
Frametime:
AMD = 2.20% smoother
Frame-per-Watt:
AMD 0.32 and Nvidia 0.34
$-per-Frame:
AMD 0.20c, Nvidia 0.22c
Conclusion. AMD is faster and smoother in the framerate department. Power is less efficient on AMD by 9%. AMD costs less than Nvidia to produce a single frame of v...
Nothing like an empty gesture produced via the equivalent of a spam email to spark a news blurb. Pfft.
Anyone who has worked corporate just sneers at these hollow attempts.
