The X will still have the best console version, as usual. That is why I bought the X. Almost all 3rd party games run better with better image quality too and faster load times on the X than Pro.
I have 65 inch 4K UHD HDR Low Latency Samsung Gaming TV and the game looks Amazing on XB1X! 50 hours in, taking a break for a bit. Playing Far Cry 5, and just discovered Dragons Age, Inquisition. Yeah I know its old, but never played it.
I will definitely be putting many more hours in Origins
Its digital only, and has only sold 250.000 on PS4 in 3 months which has a much larger install base. So yeah it is doing well on Xbox One. I am picking it up for my X1X, the team that made this game only consisted of 16 people, yet it looks like a team from UBISOFT made it!
What difference does it make, I have Games Pass and ALL Microsoft 1st Party games are released on games pass same day as retailers. Zero reason to buy it. Just like Sea of Thieves. Also I have Xbox One X, which can handle more than the OG or S.

They should have remastered. Not just 1080p. These games did not age well.
I bought PUBG for X1X and it sucks. The game struggles to hit 16 FPS before you jump out of the plane. Then when you land it struggles to hit 26 until the map shrinks, with the OG X Box One running a few FPS less than the X. Once the map shrinks, it still can barely manage 30FPS . NO THANK YOU. The graphics suck, and pop in is terrible. I would rather play battle royal at 4K 60fps.
I have the X1X version of the game, it barely hits 30 FPS on X AFTER the map shrinks, and you think HDR makes it better? I would take A very minimum STEADY 30 FPS throughout the ENTIRE game than n HDR. So I just refuse to play it. If PC can do 60fps on older PC hardwear, it could at least manage 30 steady on X1X. I mean come on.
PUBG on consoles is garbage...on XB1X it can only hit 30fps after the map shrinks. The graphics are terrible and the pop in is terrible too. I spent 60 dollars on V Bucks after purchasing and playing PUBG a few times I immediately felt compelled to spend money on the much better 60fps 4K Battle Royal.
Oh yeah and I also have spent 60 dollars on VBucks, just because battle royal is so well polished I wanted to support it. 60fps and 4k on X1X. So much better than PUBG. If I could get my money back for PUBG I would have, and I sure as hell would not spend real money in game for PUBG.

I played Sea of Thieves for 10 min. I want single player. I hate most games that force multi player. I like to play single player first and then multi player.
I was interested when it came out, now it just looks boring.
Because the article is about the console versions. We all know a 2000 dollar PC would beat all consoles. X1X is the closest to a PC version. Also my TV is 4k HDR 65" Samsung with Dolby Atmos surround sound system...I may not have a gaming PC, but I got the console hook up!
PUBG sucks on X1X. It barely hits 30 fps. I am sure PC is better. I won't play a FPS at less than 30fps....its a broken game with crappie graphics.
Yes it does run better the frame rate is better, in addition to higher resolution. It's a fact, not a fan boy comment. It should look and play better, it has 60% more power than the Pro.
I bought Assassins Creed Origins, and Far Cry 5, both the premium versions. Totally worth it. The games look and play fantastic on my Xbox One X.
That is not true. Time and time again the X has been the best platform for 3rd party games. Usually FPS on the X are higher too. Just look at Assassins Creed Origins X compared to Pro Digital Foundry has.
Next Gen it wont matter. I just don't know what Sony and Microsoft are planning for next gen. This is the first MAJOR mid gen upgrade for a console. I just paid $499 for Xbox One X, and Pro is $399. If next gen starts in 2019. What kind of power will the consoles...
