You do know that NPD doesn't track all retailers's? Could it be that VG is getting a different sample then NPD? Or who knows maybe even a more complete picture. NPD doesn't even cover Walmart.
It's funny how VGChartz are gospel when the PS3 is on top. But I agree we should not use VGChartz for anything software/hardware whatever, but fat chance of that happening.
Of course he will go down as far as he needs to (in more ways than 1) to get the PS3 number higher than the 360.

agree with this dev. MS should of made the HDD standard and personally I think MS should allow developers to use the HDD. Core/Arcade owners knew what they were buying and it's not like they can't upgrade to an HDD if they really want to play the games that require it. This whole "gimping" the whole platform to satisify the lowest common denominator(cheap skates) is just lame.
If MS would lower the cost of the HDD it would help things as well.
I feel the same way everytime a Bioshock or Mass Effect for the PS3 thread pops up.

I was going to say the same thing. The only people not letting this die seem to be coming from the PS3 camp. How many "Heres Why MGS4 won't be on 360" articles have we seen.
I for one don't even care about this game. I plan to rent it for my PS3 and it better be the best thing I've ever seen and played in my life for all the super hype its got.

NPD doesn't track all retail, maybe VG is using a different sample or are looking at a bigger picture than NPD.
Anyway, I've never trusted VGChartz for any of their numbers.
