I don't really understand the article much? I don't see why games hafto take responsibility for what kids learn and don't learn. Isn't that what parents are for? Also why do games got to be for kids first and "adults are the secondary audience"? Are you still under the impression that video games are a "for kids" thing? Don't stop there then, let's stop making movies with ratings higher than G. Maybe I'm missing the point?
EA is a dying company. Sure right now they are gaining profit from the microtransactions of their sports games, but take a look at everything else they've put out. Aside from a few acceptions their games have been horrible for years. Their studios are either dead or in the process of dying. Their public image has been way too tarnished, and they can only go so far with shady business practices before it comes back and bites them in the ass.
A mechanic I thought I'd hate. Even tho it could get a bit annoying at first, that moment when you lose all fuel and your bike keeps going for a few extra seconds, finding yourself stranded, having to find fuel, that peacefulness in the environment that deceives you into a horse, or an ambush MADE this game.
Feel like a broken record everytime I gotta say this but 3D Dot Game Heroes!
Watch it be another 1 of those whole website countdowns for a mobile game
Something about seeing cartoony characters completely out of their usual roles is very humourous. I think Insomniac could pull it off well
So you telling me that a company that has been around since 1993 has only put out nothing but bad games up until Astrobot? And SONY has kept them open out of the kindness of their hearts? So Bloodborne, Shadow of The Colossus, Gravity Rush, Ape Escape. Legend of Dragoon, Siren, Demon Souls were all flops? And only NOW they've been closed down because it's fans haven't supported the studio? Are you all serious? How much more support would we hafto show? The studio has been working ...
Well that's the beauty of still owning a retro console tho. Those who usually complain about emulation are just being blindly loyal to a company. Emulation is great for many reason, but if I still owned the console then I disagree nothing beats plugging it back in and going down a nostalgia trip
By far the most stupid thing I've read all week. That isn't how things work. Days Gone sold well so what's SONYs excuse for not greenlighting a sequel? To these companies we aren't owed anything no matter how much we support them. How about you complain about management rather than complain about how consumers exercising their right to not buy something at full price. Perhaps if companies didn't have history of putting out half finished products and falsely advertising the...
Japan Studios worked on more than just Gravity Rush, and Gravity Rush got a sequel on the PS4 despite being a game that started on a system that only flopped as hard as it did because of SONY. So… despite all the successes of Japan Studio SONY shut it down either way. Which would prove that even if we give our "support" we're not guaranteed anything.
They were too busy trying to paint fan criticism as just the fan base being toxic rather than pointing out the flaws the game had. That's the other problem with journalism these days. They attack their own readers, then resort to name calling when they get criticized over their heavily biased reviews.
People find it ridiculous when they hear some say that mainstream media has too much influence/power. Yet those who don't want to believe it come in droves every time a major game gets a review and if it's a positive review they say positive things without playing it, and if it's a negative review they say negative things again without playing it. They form opinions based on someone else's opinion just because there's a familiar name behind it.
Idk how many examp...
I was just wording it like the article title. Despite it getting so much attention I always saw that as SE just trying to milk it for all it's worth. They're doing it again with 7 remake with the mobile remake of the remake and that isn't the kind of attention I would've liked for 15 to have gotten. Think from the snippets of gameplay for 16 that they've learned something from 15, I would just personally like to see the original vision Vs13 to be explored again some time a...
The comrades dlc was such a huge slap. The coolest part of the story, and we weren't even allowed to play through it so what do they think would be a cool way to explore the dark world? Multiplayer! I too enjoyed a lot of sections in this game, and I especially like the train scene with the ghost of Luna but there were too many "wtf were thinking" moments.
I wouldn't call any of that a second chance. Personally a second chance would be if they went and made vs 13. The mobile version was a cash grab and the stand alone DLCs were just a way to sell to us all the unfinished content. If KH is any indication, it's clear Namura hasn't quite let go of Vs 13
That would happen when you focus on bigger projects rather than making something smaller
It's the whole industry! Look at games made during PS1, 2 and early PS3 years. AAA has moved away from creative platformers/RPGs/Tactical/stea lth/puzzle and have gone to make generic TPS action/adventure games. And devs making multiplayer after multiplayer with absolutely no substance. They fill it with cosmetics and people eat that shit up like it's the best support they've ever seen for a game. And don't mention Nintendo like they're the lasts of the devs still making ...
Now THATS a mod, really impressive
You can pass as many laws and come up with as many plans, but as long as people keep mixing up garbage and not recycle then it'll go nowhere. This won't stop all the trash in the oceans. Garbage is such a problem that it's already circling around the earth in space! We humans are truly the most disgusting creature.
This game was generic from the moment it was shown off, but everyone praised it regardless. All these BR games follow the same generic formula, and they do nothing to truly stand out. The market is so oversaturated with TPS and FPS multiplayer games that look whacky but feature the most boring gameplay. They all want you you to stick to the ground for some reason.
