So I posted a "where's the future" question, and I see it was answered in THIS article. My bad. Loving these articles overall though, keep it up. I want a PS4 version.
Why no questions on the future of Chroma Squad or their next IP? I realize this is "at a glance" but show us a glance of the future! Great article though.
I've had my eye on this game. Might as well try.
Why bother saying anything so early in development? This will just come back to make them look stupid when, like 99% of any other multiplatform release, it looks and runs slightly better on PS4. Just shut up and continue getting the game out of alpha, or the consoles you're worried about wont even be around for your game.
So first Splatoon, now this game? Paid DLC or not, releasing half a game and constantly updating it really pushes me away from buying the game new at release. Not sure why they feel the need to do it this way now for two high profile titles, as it's very unlike Nintendo, but I'm not a fan. They used to be the only games you could count on being whole, complete experiences. With internet connection or not. Now it seems that won't be the case.
School age boys find women sex objects. What a study. How about asking adult males, the largest demographic for video games instead.
Borderline plagiarism? Other than the blocks, which COUNTLESS other games have, and even a game before Minecraft had, what is it copying?
The character model, that dinosaur, the trees, the water ( from what I can tell ) all look much, much different than Minecraft.
The world is voxel, but nothing else is, and that in my opinion not only makes it very different, but better in the process.
Yeah what Nodoze said. I've had a mouse and keyboard that's lasted me almost 10 years of WoW and other constant clicky type games. They make some great products.
While I usually don't reply to opinion/bias, I will for you.
You're simply speculating. I love Gears, Halo, and Forza. Am I burnt out on them? A little bit.
It's hard to say if they will, because I think you're underestimating what No Mans Sky (assuming it's coming out this year) can do, along with Uncharted collection and a few other solid exclusives. You are right in PS4 has no TRUE blockbusters this holiday, but with a plethora of mult...
If this is true, that they were aware of how badly their competition was priced, then you have to wonder what Microsoft was thinking THIS time around when they announced a 500 dollar piece of junk with some of the most anti-consumer tactics I've ever heard of.
It's great they were laughing, but I wanna know, who's laughing now?
What are you going on about? "7 brutal exclusives"? They're the same core franchises that have been the heart of Xbox and it's community since it's inception. And if you're talking about anything other than Gears, Halo, and Forza, then you're more of a cloud headed fan boy than I originally believed. Because no one, and I mean no one, is craving to play games like Ryse, Dead Rising 3, or any other "brutal exclusive" other than the 3 I mentioned.
It needs to sell better from the original releases? Or it needs to sell better from both the original release and re-release combined? If it's combined, that's a little unfair to hold this game to that standard.
@Avengers1978 I get that, but anyone who buys a Nintendo system and expects anything but a plethora of Nintendo exclusives could be considered stupid. I bought a Wii U knowing I'd be playing 15 different variations of a Mario game, and I was ok with that. It's why I got a PS4 as well.
If the leaks a couple years ago about a 2 in 1 console/handheld are to be believed, and you take in to account the move Nintendo made a few years ago combining their hardware and their...
That's a fair argument, but their track record indicates they never really cared to compete 1:1, for at least two generations prior. Third party support was pretty abysmal for both the Gamecube and Wii, which were also both underpowered compared to the competition. With the Wii U not picking up like they wanted, and the frame rate/resolution wars full swing, I think their next system will not only compete on a graphical level, but also third party releases.
And if it doe...
I guess he means showing a game that's still over a year away from release. THAT would be a disappointment, but at least we'd see something exciting.
If this game is anything like Bethesdas past games, we'll have well more than just these two to choose from.
I'd rather Sony put money and resources in to the future of Playstation, rather than the past.
I'm well aware of this fact. Which proves my point even more, that they can't just magically upload the patches and bypass quality assurance from Sony and Microsoft respectfully. Last gen games got updated much less because of the fee Microsoft charged developers to even send a patch in. Since that policy is no longer in play, gamers are benefitting.
So first PC gamers cry that they favored consoles for "downgrading the game", and now we have console gamers saying that they favor PC because it's getting updates first?
Come on people, stop being whiny babies. Just play the game on your system of choice and enjoy it. The fact that they're updating the game at all is a step above most failed launches.
That's ok. I've got enough games to play. When I finally pick up a One, I'll be glad theres a bunch of older exclusive gems to pick up cheap to appreciate.
