I don't see what the issue is as long as the quality of the games don't suffer. If you don't have a 360 and PS3 SE games aren't being affected then why do you care whether they make games for both consoles?
This headline is kind of deceiving. As a I read the article I was expecting to see bad news on the PS3's part. What does it say that the PS3 stood steady while seeing increased competition from a price drop and a RPG that appeals to the market?
I'm still trying to figure out why people are saying this game flopped when it sold 200,000+ it's first couple of days. Last time I checked those are pretty good numbers.
Since I don't have the time nor the inclination to get all 3 systems i'll sit and enjoy my PS3. That being said I think it's great that SE is branching out on the 360. It makes sense from a business standpoint, which is SE main goal, whether Fanboys like it or not.
After playing the first Killzone and experiencing the atmosphere in the game(it felt like a warzone especially if you have a surround sound system) I'm definitely getting KZ2 just to see how they improved the game and how the war moves on.
Don't know where the Star Ocean hate is but i'm sure it's coming and I can't wait to get this game!!
I find it interesting that no new games were on this list. What does that say about the difficulty of games as time has flowed?(DMC 3 not included because that game was hard as hell)
They can just as easily build off of XP since that's a great OS now, after the patches.
I have UnBuntu and XP dual booted on my Laptop. And I still prefer XP over Tiger(or whatever the hell it's called now) and Linux. I can't understand why people b***h and moan over Windows. Vista isn't as terrible as people make it seem, though it's not better than XP. All it tkaes is a little time and routine maintenance and it runs fine. Why the complaints?
Apple can go suck a railroad spike. Those commercials were funny but I like MS's "i'm a PC and i've been stereotyped commercial". It accurately paints most(not all) Apple users as smug and stuck up.
Is it just me or is a big deal being made of the 360 surging in sales after the release of not just 2 exclusive Jrpg's but also a price drop. What were you people expecting?
Nah your not by yourself with loving 3. They could have done the item creation better but I enjoyed the story(When I jumped through the gate and went into 4D space I flipped out) and the battle system and characters I think were done well. Albel was my favortite character though: It doesn't matter how many maggots you've got, i'll crush them all... priceless. I can't understand why this game blasted the way it does.
I must be by myself when I say I don't give a damn how refined the graphics are. Give me a story and gameplay like the last two and i'm off into the sunset with my purchase.
I couldn't find any sources for this so I see as a rumor, though it would make sense if it was an enhanced Cell design.
I call BS. If it's one thing i'll give nintendo it's their originality(though they copied their fair share, it's the business). I think the PSP is better but the next iteration of the DS will sell like hotcakes
I don't think it's the reality of the price drop settling in(though it could've had a bigger impact than it did) I just think they're bored since I think the content of this article is ridiculous. Why would MSFT shut down Rare. If Banjo doesn't sell well and they don't make another Viva Pinata then maybe but I just can't see this happening.
I think they advertised pretty well to move the system with the PS3 commercials with the Saliva music. They should apply the same scheme to marketing their games. Instead of trying to come up with gimicky commercials they should showcase the trailers, which in most cases will sell themselves.
Where are all these "reports that state that Sony is losing money on the PS3. If I recall correctly they've been making a profit on each system sold since late last year. And they still have the revenue from the other consoles and their sales are at a good enough level right now so how are they in trouble?
And the Xbox and 360 did deliver? Yeah there's an objective viewpoint from a former boss of Microsoft's game division. Be serious. This is like Kaz Harai saying Xbox and 360 didn't deliver. No credibility since their viewpoint would obviously be clouded by they loyalty.
Can someone explain to me how this is a bad move? For them they make more money by widening the scope of their sales, For gamers you get SE games on both consoles(hopefully without a quality deficit)
