Ummmm.. it's about price and appeal? As I said the Nintendo handhelds appeal to little children. That's their target audience. I really shouldn't have to spell out that the target audiences do overlap eachother since it's not fobidden to own a DS after you become 13yo.

I think you have a bit of nostalgia going on there. I too used to read the manuals of all the games thoroughly in the Nes, MD and SNES-era but nowadays I don't bother. The swich to the manual we have now (pretty much nonexistant when compared) doesn't bother me at all.
If it's NOT nostalgia for you however it's too bad. I don't need them but I do understand both ways.

The first Mirror's edge is still one of my favourite games. I hope they get the atmosphere as good as it is in the first game. I can't even put my finger on it what it is exactly that makes the atmosphere in ME 1 as good as it is. It just is lol!
