OMG now when I actually clicked and went to take a look at arstechnica they have their own page for stuff relating to MS. They have one for Apple too so I'm quessing there's a lot of partnership between Ars, Apple and MS.

My PS3 downloads a GB of data FROM PSN in 15 minutes. I have 12MB connection. The PSN has never been the bottleneck when downloading. Game updates download slower but they are so small usually (15MB or so) so it doesn't matter.
Do I actually have to make a video to show people when I'm downloading stuff from psn so they can see for themselves?
My PS3 is wired to the net and it downloads over a megabyte per second if the server I'm DLing from gives me the bandwidth to do it. There's nothing wrong at your end when you DL with your PS3 if you have a good connection. The server is the bottleneck.

You clearly don't understand the problem with gaming industry and multi disc games.
The swapping of discs IS lastgen for sure but that's not the main problem.
Here's a tip for you: The developers will not or cannot put games on more that one disc on every genre. I'll let you chew on that for a while. Think about what will happen because of that. What are the choises the dev team has?
