I think Holiday 2012 will be the start of a new generation of gaming. When Epic said that the next gears game would be on the new machines and then had to change that when M$ gave them a boatload of money to make Gears 3...it was over. Where there's smoke there's fire...lots of smoke right now.

I'd guess this has to do with Crysis and Bulletstorm going head to head within a couple weeks of each other with KZ 3. EA also launched NFS in the same window as GT...but EA always does that. They ride the coat tails...
I haven't played KZ 3 yet...who has but in regards to Half-life, EVERYBODY knows that game deserves every inch of the pedestal it's been placed on.
The only game that I've played that really strikes me as being in the same league...well...actually there is more than one that come to mind...Resident Evil 4, Prince of Persia: sands of time, Mario Sunshine and Bioshock. Now that I think about it, there is quite a few games over the years that strike a gamer as time...

I hope this has nothing to do with Sony. Sony has in the past not been kind to games releasing in the same window as it's exclusives...not a good idea. Crysis is launching a month AFTER KZ3. There's room for both of them to exist.
EA and Crytek are both going to be around for a while and if Sony is saying no thanks to the beta...a very good possibility, then it will come back to bite them in the A$$. I have notice some warming up in EA's relationship with M$ recentl...

I enjoyed both Crysis 2 ( still enjoying ) and Bulletstorm demo's. I would of liked a better look at the SP of both of them but I can wait a couple of weeks. I usually rent games I'm not sure of before buying anyways.
Bulletstorm demo was more of a tutorial on how the game play mechanics work...they work really well. Personally, it's day one because of the Gears 3 beta. I can't wait to give that a shot, the Gears multi-player looks incredible.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the demo. Great production value over all but I had some beefs...who doesn't right, I'm a picky guy...lol.
The tutorial was of no use since you didn't get to play it...why, I don't know. I actually tried firing the gun before I realized it was just for show. Too bad because it would of been a great way to test out some of the combinations BEFORE starting the demo.

...and the graphics are solid...case closed. Having said that Halo reach and COD MW2 are in a league all there own. I find that devs, no matter who, on there first try seem to make some rookie mistakes with few exceptions...Bungie, Irrational and Epic come to mind as the exceptions.
The controls are solid, as is the game play BUT the amount of bullets needed to down an enemy needs some work. There is nothing worse than lighting a guy up and he having time to look around to ...
I've never played a game that was perfect and played many that were far from perfect. These losers have nothing better to do with there time.
Crytek loves to talk but where are the games to compare??? Sure, there are tech videos available running on some massive rig somewhere but where are the games.
No 2 PC's are the same so everyone has basically had a different experience with Crytek games...most have had headaches trying to get the things to run right...lol
Luckily, that's not the case for Unreal and the library of games using the tech is unprecedented...lets take a peak shall we......
