Na YLOD does exist mate, it didn't happen to me though. My PS3 (40gb) doesn't read discs since march but I will get some downloads from the store when I go back on it.
I'll get a PS3 slim when a good deal comes.

I tried the recovery mode but that didn't work. A full format for me will take around 28 hours (I have 500gb hard drive in there), plus I may as well get a PS3 slim (for efficiency) with a 3 year warranty.
You can read my review on here for Yakuza 3. It takes patience but the game is a rewarding experience.
Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I got Red Faction for my cousin for his 360 in 2009. Once I get a new PS3 there are games I want and Red Faction is one of them, it's pretty cheap at the moment.

Yeah I own both PSP and PS3. I'm pretty sure LBP for the PSP will be one of them games.
I think the first party games from Sony will be the ones that will be on the list out of the selection of five.
I have enjoyed what I have played on the PS3, I hardly use it as a Bluray player although it is a good bonus, I use it for games.

I agree with you to some extent. GTA 4 I liked the soundtrack when driving around. RDR had great voice acting and setting. John Marston was a carbon copy of Niko Bellic, the game got boring after completing it exploring was annoying as the blue marked strangers mostly killed me. Plus you didn't realise there was a last mission in RDR.

I got Yakuza 4 which got 6.5 from IGN but 8.0 from other sites. I didn't care for the reviews because I know what I was expecting (except the story which I haven't finished).
After completing Yakuza 3 last year and hearing the announcement of the english version of Yakuza 4, I was excited. Yakuza 4 was and is my anticipated game of this year. I have two copies.
I enjoyed what I played so far of Yakuza 4. It's more darker and gritty than Yakuza 3. ...
For me at the moment it's LBP 2 and Yakuza 4. Yakuza 4 (Ryu Ga Gotoku 4) was released last year in Japan.
To be honest scores means jackshit to gamers. Everyone has different tastes, I haven't played Portal 2 yet so I can't comment on that.
