I've been saying exactly this several days prior to the current media meltdown and all I got as feedback was the usual PC BEST VERSION, PS3 FANBOY response.

I liked the PC engine as a console though, but, why such a shitty audio processor? I mean, it's ok, after all the best games were on CD, Castlevania, Snatcher etc, but come on the base sound chip of the PCE was damn bad compared to the SNES, and even worse than the genesis one.
