Woof! That's almost as awful as the Yakuza 3 box art. How hard is it to make a badass cover that don't make people think the game is dumb or low budget?

Not to defend this guy's list or anything but no current gen rpgs would make my top 10 list.
@below: While I do agree that they don't have to all be old/handhelds, the newest game that would be in my top 10 is Shadow Hearts Covenant which came out in 2004. I'm not denying that there are great rpgs this gen, Valkyria Chronicles and Demons Souls are 2 of my fav games this gen, but there are just too many other rpgs that top them.

It already did. Yakuza 4 has been out for a year now in Japan. Yakuza of the End will light up Ps3 sales when it's out soon though.

Well they have the chicks from Fear Effect. The problem with having a gay main character like a Drake or Snake is that the vast majority of gamers are straight men and it would alienate the majority of potential customers who would more than likely have a problem with that small detail. It would be a tough call for a dev (especially Japanese, were homosexuality isn't as socially acceptable as the US for ex.) to cater to that small demographic and risk making a loss on their game. This is perfect for me since I'm planning to update my HDD to 500gb but I can see not too many people getting much use out of it. It's a nice additional feature to have whether you use it or not.

Even if the multiplayer is broken day 1, it will still be overlooked by reviewers.
I'm ok with them remaking persona 1 and persona 2: innocent sin since persona 1 was treated like crap by atlus when they were first starting to localize and innocent sin was never brought to the US. Persona 3 PSP, although probably a good game, was kind of a waste of talents. I'm just tired of all these megaten handheld titles... give us a console RPG already Atlus!
How about a new SMT game for home consoles instead. Kind of a waste to rerelease a game that just came out like 2 or so years ago.

Maybe it's just me but did anyone else have problems with the responsiveness of jumps? Something felt real off to me unless my controller needs so tuning.
