Not bad. The live demos they showed were pretty awesome and Sly 4 was very welcoming. The bundles were nice and more than fairly priced and Vita was pretty damn awesome. The one thing they were missing were 1 or 2 end of the show ps3 game announcements. We'll probably hear about some new games over the next couple days. 8/10 for their conference, not as good as the Twisted Metal ending to last years conference though.
Nintendo has been the only huge name in the handheld business, especially since sega pulled out of the race. To believe that PSP would sell more than Nintendo in their biggest market is madness. With their first run at the handheld market for that generation, I think Sony did a damn good job making a name for themselves and stealing some market share from Nintendo.

Says the guy who hypes up Gears 3. Sequels are fine when you also have new IPs to choose from and Sony has both of those. Can't really say that about MS 1st and 3rd party dev studios and Nintendo for that matter either.

I totally agree with you on metroid prime and I think nintendo giving metroid games to retro was the best choice with the series, hands down. I haven't tried Other M so I can't really comment on how it plays but it seems sort of like ninja gaiden so that's pretty cool. The metroid series is really the only one with progression it seems.

I love nintendo's franchises, don't get me wrong. But if I had to choose 1 word to describe them it would be stagnant. They have a lot of great and loved franchises bit it seems that they do very little to innovate on them. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing the same game over and over with each new entry.
