The battle system was still a part of FF that made it different from the RPG's of the west, But now thats gone. Its just a hack and slash.
BTW XIII was not more of the same in FF. It was a watered down FF game from the get go.

By the looks of the Final Fantasy vs XIII trailer, I'm going to hate playing it. vs looks more like a hack n' slash now.
I say bring on XIII-2, can vs, start again and make a propper Final Fantasy game FFS.
This looks nothing like a JRPG. It looks more like a DMC.
Realy?? Brilliant?? Did I just watch a different video than everyone else? The only thing I seen was a hack n' slash. WTF happened to the battle system. I thought this was ment to be a Final Fantasy game not a DMC game.
I was looking forward to seeing a more traditional FF game but will I have to get that from FF XIII-2? Like FFS SE ever since XIII came out vs-XIII was ment to be the real FF XIII but then you screw it up like you did XIII.
But there needs to be time for the setting of the story to be set and so new players can get used to the control/battle system.
I don't know about FFIV, but when VII and X got sequiles, theys tended to suck ass. X-II was horrible in comparison to X and VII should have ended with the end of the god dam game. Dirge of cerberus and crisis core wern't FF games.
The only gripe I have with games with online multiplayer is the fact that they all have at least one of two trophies/achivements. I can't get Red dead redemption 1000 gs because I dont have gold. Ass creed: Brotherhood's platinum was out of my grasp due to the multiplayer as is the same with GTA4. Sure I like collecting trophies but I wont play something I dislike just for the trophies/achivements
There was a definate decrease in quality from COD:MW -> MW2 -> Black ops.
I persionally hate him as he seems to think that a game that is £45 is not expensive enough and openly stated that he wants it to be raised. As if its not bad enough that we're in a recession. We don't need this A hole raising the price of games, one of the worlds largest entertainment industries, all because he seems to think a salsry of $953,654.00 and a bonus of $500,000 isn't enough. Thats not even all he earned in 2009.

Well the last time I checked, Sucker punch and Sanzaru Games are not sony 1st party devs. Just like Koji pro.
Also if it cost sooooo much, why did santa monica do two games which would cost ... ohh, I dont know ... TWICE as much than converting one game and then go on to sell it for £25 (when one new game costs £40 here) or what ever it was sold at in the US, and why are Sanzaru Games porting THREE games and not one when it takes so much money to do ... Buddy??
I see at least two people DON'T want to play a new MGS game on their Playstaion 3 or see a new one on the system.
I dont think the DS has enough buttons to pull of a metal gear solid game. Unless they add two analouge sticks.
I dont see why they dont do what Santa monica did with God Of War and what Sanzaru Games did with sucker punch's sly cooper and port it to the ps3, add AA, 3D and trophies.
I found and am finding inFamous rather easy. I'm going for plat now and playing in the hard setting. I would have had it last summer, but I swapped it for Fallout 3.
I might actually rent cloudy. I did really like the film. lol
That's just sad. Your missing one of the best games this generation. I wish there was trophy support, but you would also never get that plat as your obviously not a big enough MGS fan to get the all the ranks.
You seem to think I love XIII. I dont. I havnt changed my avitar since I made an account. Before XIII was revealed to be a watered down FF game.
Yea so what if I want a variation of the turn based battle system or the ATB system. I would rather have that than have a shitty hack and slash battle system.
