Dont take this personal but if it was coming out in 2018 it would have to be announced by E3! Plus it would step on the toes on people like me that traded in their ps4 towards a ps4 pro in late 2016. This article is talking about Sony putting emphases in WHOLE GAMES instead of MICRO TRANSACTION GAMES. It should be titled why Sony, and Nintendo is zagging, while Microsoft and third parties are zigging.

Just because it is not mostly dark and disturbing games does not mean a lot of people don't like it. I am beyond 30 and I like the graphical style of the games. In fact I don't want to see dark gritty zombie gothic games. Final fantasy games are more appealing (talking graphics style) than a gothic like game.
@Skankinruby No DVDs killed CDs. Blu rays killed DVDs. HDR blu rays are now killing Blu rays. All along Digital has been there even before CD's it has not stopped people from becoming renters of movies and software. Which is what digital is if you can think realistically 5 years down the road. Who can go online and play Syphon filter on PS2? Halo (original) on xbox? Anyone? Only if you have the phisical discs.

I get the things they can do to make it feel like dragon quest for, instance while playing Dragon quest heros (1) the music is dead on. The intros to characters, the style of art, gave that feel. But I think number two is still a action/hack and slash style game.

They doubled manufacturering from 8 million a year to 16 million a year. So they are producing consoles twice as fast. 16 million a year is faster than xbox 360 1st year sales, ps3 first year sales.

I did the same with Xbox one, Xbox one Forza edittion, PS4, PS4 PRO, and Nintendo SWITCH! With Forza edition PS4, and SWITCH I was lucky I did.
