I wounldn't say NO AAA games. I would also add that Sony was fighting TWO fronts. One was Console (xbox) and the other was handheld. Sony learned a lesson from MICROSOFTS mistake. You can't support a system without a lot of AAA games. So instead of fighting against Nintendo(hand held leader) they fought against Microsoft.
They did this buy putting everything into the console 'war'. It was a smart choice. Microsoft only had a few, and Nintendo had well...
BY FAR. most of the games are new. That being said they dont have enough ports! Most people that like JRPG's just dont want a little ds, or 3ds screen! So we missed out on them. We want them ported, pronto!

Actually the news stories about Nintendo skipping E3 where kinda misleading. If you read the small print you will see that Nintendo just skipped the big PRESS Conferences. This would explain how Nintendo could win E3 last year.

Before you go downplaying keep in mind that Mario Odyssey one of the top rated games of all time came out in less than 10 months after announcement. So did splatoon 2 so did a LOT of Nintendo SWITCH games. They announced they would do this two years ago and have been doing it consistently! I'm with you. I have to admit I'm kinda jealous! I have played dragon quest on PS4 pro. The SWITCH version will have the full version from PS4 and a 32 bit version. Plus it will have voice acting for the main character, (he only grunted a couple of times on the original version). Plus square is adding 10 hours of gameplay for each of the 8 main characters! Wow that is like a whole game?! Anyway I'm glade I played the PS4 PRO version already the graphics where sweet. But...

In case others don't know Nintendo has spearheaded the announce close to launch craze! Remember Mario Odyssey? People where speculating about a Mario game but everyone was saying Nintendo would have announced it over a year before! They was wrong it came out less than 10 months of announcement. This trend kept going. most games are coming out within 6 months now of announcement. So I expect PLENTY of big titles to be announced for later this year.

Well since your intrigued with that kind of game you should try this! There is a PC app that will let you legally play google play store games (mobil phone games) on the laptop/pc with a game controller, or keyboard and mouse.
"Nox app player" is FREE and already lets you play mobil games, except your not streaming them, you download ONCE at home and save your data plan after that! Streaming/Stadia eats up your data plan every time you play. ...
